Dunno, things feel really close together and tight, maybe it's the font size/spacing? I'd much rather it be double spaced between posts and etc than the way it is now. I also think it's the colors. It all just looks so cramped. ____________________ havin' a ball |

this one actually took the longest to work out to make look good on all 3 acmlmboards im on.

This story starts off from where Discorsia left the loung on page 100/101 and follows her on the job she had been sent to do when she left.
*** “So,” Discorsia said as she walked inside the door to the chief’s office, “I’ve been told we have an escaped psycho-criminal on our hands. What’s the deal with that?” The chief was short and fat, grey hair covering his head under his hat, a black bowler with an embroidery depicting a pink ouroboros with a golden star seated inside. On his face is seated a pair of small glasses, sitting on his nose near his sunken in eyes. His glasses draw attention to his long, thick mustache that falls down the sides of his lips and moves with his mouth whenever he talks. “We believe he escaped sometime last night, which coincides with the disappearances of several key government officials. We have no clue where he is and we have the entire town on lockdown until we find him. Nobody gets in, and nobody gets out.” “What do you want me to do about it, Chief?” “Well, that’s where you come in. We need you to assemble the team you used to capture him the last time. Do you think you can do it?” “I don’t know, Chief, some of those people are dead since then. But I know some people that can replace them. They’re just as good as they were. Maybe better.” “Then what are you doing bargain about ‘em to me?! Go on and get ‘em down here! You got one month. That’s as long as we can keep the city on lockdown. After that…” The chief sighed and took a swig from a flask hidden in his jacket pocket. “You’re on your own.” Discorsia walked out the door, saying, “Sounds to me like things are going to be like the good old days this time around. It was quite odd, being called here again. How she had missed the old days, especially with Sheryl. Oh, Caroline, do you remember those days? It had been a long time since you two had last met. It was strange, getting old. She felt like she would have a harder time with this than the last time.
“Caroline, we meet again.” She turned to look at the voice. Ah, how she missed that image. Sheryl had always had that kind look to her. Caroline had been able to see it since they first met. “It’s a pleasure to be seeing you again. Please, tell me more about this assignment.” “It’s not a long story. I recently got some news that a dangerous criminal was out on the loose.” “And?” Caroline replied, “That’s nothing special. Why did you call me all the way here for something you could have easily done yourself, Sheryl?” “Eric Fontan.” The name had a cold air to it. The name that had almost destroyed the world they lived in. It made her feel small and insignificant. It was the reason she had retired. “You canNOT be serious. I thought they had him locked down tight!” “It appears not,” Discorsia replied. “What I was able to gather he may have been broken out. And that is what I am most afraid of. If he did get broken out, we have a serious situation on our hands.” “No more talk,” Caroline said. “I’m in.” “Good. Do you still have contact with …?” Caroline watched the name roll off of her lips, not even listening to it. She already knew who she was looking for, but she stared dumbfounded at her mouth. Why would she want her? “I guess I’ll take that as a no.” |
