What do you think?

let's have a contest to see who can make the coolest remake of this video game box art!

No Stark... you already had your chance.

(No, I didn't hack the ISO for this.)

...or did I?

I think it's safe not even you would throw away that much time.

actually i worked on the game in the first place, so all i had to do was edit the model then rerender.

Should I release it in order to prove I actually really did have CVS access for zSNES as a developer at one point from before it went GPL?

...

I decided not to. Sorry! False alarm. ...for now.

Discuss here whether I should stay in touch or not. I don't really see a reason anymore to use this website for the time being.

The board seems to imply RomManic killed himself Valentine's Day 2008 apparently due to my not seeing the private message that he needed to talk to me about serious emotional issues because I had been banned at the time.

Strange, however, that he last logged in 12 hours ago and made a post yesterday.

FIX THE BOARD, SLACKERS.

Btw, I actually no longer seem to have much reason to post here anymore.

I have over 100 websites of my own with over 350 projects of mine hosted on them dating back to 1989. I plan to keep releasing my old projects open source if possible as i recover them off old diskettes and hard drives.

A large portion of my old projects are corrupt, meaning I will have to resort to manually going through every last piece of back-ups in order to find scraps of those projects in order to reverse engineer, fix or transcode the source code, and maybe even compile older programs which were originally only for interpreted languages such as PET BASIC, BASICA, GW-BASIC, TI BASIC, etcetera.

In addition i need to write actual manuals, redo the game controls for most my old projects, comment all my old the source code heavily, and release the entire 75000 hours of source code and projects I have worked on.

I really don't really give a damn about posting about stuff I am working on, on other sites anymore.

If you want to find my stuff visit either http://mediaplague.com/ or my newer hub site: http://retromachineshop.com/

i just used 4 cuts and made 15 pieces. didn't want to mess with it more.

obviously, you cant make 2x2x2x2 pieces in 3d space with 4 cuts.

(what seems like what would produce 16 pieces only makes 10.)

Psychic Super Bowl Sunday Predictions - January 31st 2009

Final Score: Cardinals 43, Steelers 12

I foresee there will be a lot of strange methods to score points in this game, thus the weird final score.

This is my own prediction.

Stalking is the new cool thing to do in ROM hacking. Why bother figuring out the patterns in some old game when you can figure out the patterns in a real person's everyday life?

So how are things going in Chicago anyway?

I often feel this is what my dev-teams think of my projects.
---
I think my projects often leave my dev teams feeling like the actor of the wolverine like in this bootleg on YouTube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-R0QK8GyFDc

Just try to convince others on this board that my projects don't come off like this and see what happens.

(Only reason there is no hard evidence I ever completed, nor damn near finished, nor even got started on any projects is you guys don't even download 'works in progress' of my projects that I link.)

I will link my current project, "Puzzlum."

Remember the three variants of this binary were made in the 90s and prolly don't work on all hardware, if it works native on your hardware in ms-dos compatibility, maybe you can play it. Otherwise you will have to wait for me to follow the advice of my dev team in order to port the code from QBX/PDS and 16bit x86 Assembly for MS-DOS to FreeBASIC with Lua scripting and 32bit 686 Assembly for Win32 and 32bit Linux.

Eventually the FreeBASIC source may be able to compile for other systems such as MacOS and other PPC systems such as GCN, NDS, PS2, and PSP.

Here are the three variants of the binary:

3. http://mediaplague.com/projects/jargon/Realm%20of%20Existence/Edition-4/MS-QBX/v4-0-0/install/roe4qbx.LZMA.7z

Here is the source:

3. http://mediaplague.com/projects/jargon/Realm%20of%20Existence/Edition-4/MS-QBX/v4-0-0/source/roe4qbx0.zip

This first image is a mock-shot made by hand-tweaking an actual screen shot in order to get a feel for the direction the development was going:

Here is a picture of me comparing the size of my favorite cup, with that of the size of my favorite head...the head that is only found on my shoulders.

Oh, and did I mention I have a POS webcam? *shakes fist*
That also adds a very obtrusive watermark for some retarded reason? *shakes fist harder*

Even though it shows football on the cup, I hate football. I just bought it for its sheer size.

PPC systems such as GCN, NDS, PS2, and PSP.

Do you realize that only one of those systems is PPC?

Wikipedia says:
GCN: PowerPC Gekko, 485 MHz
NDS: One 67.028 MHz ARM946E-S and one 33.514 MHz ARM7TDMI
PS2: 64-bit[3][4] "Emotion Engine" clocked at 294.912 MHz (launch), 299 MHz (newer models)
PSP: MIPS R4000-based; clocked from 1 to 333 MHz

Yep, you are right, GCN is PPC, NDS is ARM, and PS2 is some bullcrap CPU, and PSP is MIPS.

I confused ARM with PPC, forgetting that ARM isn't a type of PowerPC (Power Performance Computing) CPU.

Also i didn't even know that MIPS was a type of CPU.

congratulations, you've made a game that would be sub-par for the 80s
whoop-de-fucking-doo

In the early 80s games were drastically different than games from the late 80s, and I drew most of the graphics in the early 90s i think, then redrew them later with more behavioral frames. In the early 90s graphics weren't horrendously better than the late 80s, just had permutations of video memory specifications, under the same memory limit. When I first started this game, it was the late 80s.

The graphics are pretty good for being limited to 16 color "IRGB" in EGA.

Reason I didn't use 320x200 8bit 256 color 8bit VGA is because it was limited to 1 page of video memory, while 320x200 16 color 4bit EGA afforded 8 pages of video memory.

Couldn't you at least have made decent controls? Like, ones that don't involve clicking 5x5 pixel buttons with a barely visible crosshairs?

(And what's with all those oddball warnings about disk access in the readme file? If even 1% of that is true, I'd say this is quite the hardest programming failure I've ever encountered.)

The read me file was written back when hard drives failed easily with too quick of read/write access. Also, the read me file was originally written for the first version of the engine, which read from and wrote to the hard disc several thousand times a second. The first version used what could be considered 'Virtual Memory' by using actual hard drive surface like it was RAM. This is also why the game is so damn slow on an actual MS-DOS machine.

I suggest running the game in DOSBOX 0.72 or newer. (Earlier than 0.72 doesn't contain the various bug fixes I talked to the lead DOSBOX developer, personally regarding in IRC, that I had reported months prior.) Also, DOSBOX prevents some issues with incompatibility with some PC's.

The ESC key is the only keyboard key used by this program.

[C]ontinue
[T]itle
Words nearly fail me at this point, and several others.

The game originally did not use keystrokes other than ESC when I first wrote the manual. The manual is completely out of date.

There are potentially dead Russians on mars. There were already dead Russians on mars that died on impact 6 hours before Apollo missions first made it to the moon.

Supposedly, Russia sent 6 cosmonauts to Mars, but their brains started baking off due to cosmic rays. All hell broke loose aboard the vessel and the USA couldn't confirm if the Russians actually got into the landing craft that automatically deployed at Mars due to communications issues. If the Russians did somehow get into the lander, they landed, but were already dead well before getting to Mars.

So the Russians technically beat the us to both planets.

My friend is taking care of someone's cat.

This is the cat's website she is hosting: http://www.thebrokencoffin.com/cassie.htm

The cat needs surgery or it is going to die.

Just 50 cents to 2 dollars each from enough people via PayPal is enough to save or at-least help save this cat.
