I try to post similar to how I actually speak. I'll type "um" and "uh" when I really don't need to, because I have more than enough time to think of what I'm trying to say when I type. I also tend to use either  or  in my posts, because those smilies are adorable.
I'm usually paragraph-happy, too. Not so much in this post, but I usually make sure different parts of a post are well separated from each other. Yep. |

Thanks guys. No plans for today, aside from the obvious presents + cake tonight, and whatever my friends do to me at school... I celebrated last week when it was spring break and I actually had free time, though. I went to BJ's restaurant and ate a huge ass pizookie (google it, you'll see what I'm talking about <3) and then they surprised me with roller skating.
Trapster obviously doesn't know me at all, because I've said many many times that I don't drink. D:! And yes. YES I AM LEGAL ;D/< ;D\< |

I can't believe the school didn't go into lockdown. There's a guy with two guns on your campus, and you're gonna trust that he's not going to do anything else now that his ex is dead? COME ON. They could have prevented a lot of tragedy yesterday.
My cousin graduated from V Tech last year, thankfully... I would have been freaking out yesterday even more than I already was. What shocks me the most about this is that the shooter actually stopped the shooting to reload his guns, and nobody attempted to... I dunno, try and disarm him when the guns were unloaded. Not to say that they're cowardly, I definitely would have stayed hidden as well... I just would have expected some hero to emerge. I do agree that this isn't the worst thing happening in the world right now. Far from it. But it's still very sad and the whole thing shouldn't be ignored just because the number of deaths is smaller than deaths elsewhere. In Danielleland nobody would die innocently. |

Band: The Shins Album: Wincing the Night Away This is my favorite song from their new album. Everything from the catchy beat, brilliant lyrics, and the meaning behind the song... I love it. If you like either of the past Shins albums, this one will blow you away. The song is about a friendship/relationship that is going down the drain, for whatever reason. One of my favorite bits is the beginning, "You can fake it for a while, bite your tongue and smile like every mother does an ugly child." Hehe. |

OMG I LOVE COOKIES <3
Thanks for the well wishes, guys.  My day is winding down... I got some awesome stuff, though. For starters, I ordered this shirt for myself, because I fell in love with it when I saw it yesterday. So happy birthday to myself.
I also got a custom decorated coffee travel mug, which I absolutely love because I bring coffee to school every day. My friend also made me a mix of all the songs we've found amusing or entertaining over the years, it's pretty sweet. She also got me a $15 gift card to Borders, which I used tonight when I went shopping and bought three books.
Another friend gave me a kickass purse that greatly resembles the lips that entertain any fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And it was filled with candy.
Aaaand another friend made me a scrapbook/photo album sort of thing, it's got quite a few hilarious pictures in it and plenty of space for me to add to it. I love it. My mom got me a $25 starbucks card and a $50 visa gift card, as well as a REAL DESK CHAIR, which I've never had before. For the past 5 or so years, I've used a metal folding chair that I never really got along with. Tomorrow I plan on going shopping for a few movies, and perhaps I'll go check if I can get my hands on a Wii as well. Shadic: It's okay! I saw you a week before my birthday, that was close enough. I'll consider it an early bday gift. |

I've never watched it, but the uh... boss guy was a guest on Colbert Report (or was it the Daily Show? hmmm) a few nights ago and it looks pretty catchy NO PUN INTENDED. I'll have to try and remember when it's on. |

From what I've heard, the students didn't realize they were gunshots immediately. They thought it was someone banging on the wall, or construction outside, or something more innocent. I imagine I wouldn't immediately think of gunshots either. |
