What's up people? DJ Rocket of Rocketech Productions here. To announce a Megaman 2 Project. The Project is called Mega Man X-Mix. It will mix the best of 4 Megaman 2 Rom Hacks: Megaman Ultra, Rock Man Exile, Rockman Exhaust and Rockman No Constancy. there will be 2 levels from each game with original Wily Levels. As well as new music. Now i'm posting for help on the music hacking cause I suck at that. The graphics hacking and level hacking will be my doing, but I need someone to help me in hex editing for music hacking and other stuff. If Interested, please reply.

Well, that's a good idea. I have done rom hacks before but they were simple level edits. I'm aiming for a big project here with complete game overhaul. I'm accepting offers to help RTech Productions by helping me hack the game or tell me how to hack the game. I mean I can do most of the hacking I'm just looking for music help.

so well feature One level from each of the 4 hacks. and 4 original levels. Change in level scroll and graphics hacks. if you want to help me out by joining RTech Productions or tutor me in the art of hacking, feel free to reply.

I'm not sure if I'll dedicate all my free time to this. Most of the references won't be understood unless you spent some time at CAW Underground.

This is preliminary. I haven't done much modification to it except switch around the scrolling. I might go in-depth later. But right now this is just to give you an idea of what's in store.

Wow, this makes my upcoming MM4 Hack look pale in comparison. Although, why was weapon charging and sliding disabled?

Great Beta, Infidelity, can't wait for the full game. I even did the favor of promoting the hack on my CAW show, RCWF. Hopefully this will convince people that what you bring to the table is da epicnezz.

Hey Guys, I'm back with a quick update on my Mega Man 4 Hack.

The hack was sitting on the back burner as of late, so I'm forcing myself to get off my lazy ass and doing something about it.

The hack storyline was originally meant to be oriented to be something about a website I used to visit called "CAW Underground" but I recently got into some beef with them so therefore I'm taking another route with the hack.

It was brought to my attention that since she was announced in MM9, Splash Woman wasn't getting much attention from Megaman fans. And rumor has it that if MM10 goes into production, there may not be another female robot master. So I decided it's time to bring in some more female robot masters to the fray.

The Megaman 4 Hack I'm working on will be called "Megaman Eternity" the game will feature Splash Woman as well as 7 new female robot masters and 1 new evil mastermind bent on conquering the world. Once I get some knowledge on ASM hacking, new music as well as some new weapons will be included in the game.


Villain:
Dr. Cassandra Vael: A master of robotics, she helped Dr. Light in the building of Splash Woman back in MM9. She suffered a tragic accident, but was able to survive. Now half cyborg, she continues her work. She has been infected with what appears to be the first signs of the Sigma Virus, which has corrupted her cyborg mind and proceeded to try to corrupt her human mind.

Well good luck with the project. And Mega Man 4 is one of my favorite games. So you're building a project based on female robots. Nice! I've also doing a sequel for Mega Man 1 but I have to throw it away for now because MM1's coding is hard to do. But I'm not giving up on MegaGirl.

Sure, except I suck at graphic drawing especially female characters and I'm not very good at it. Most of them are ripped from another game while others like Elecgirl or even Suika Ibuki from the Yellow Devil are drawn from scratch.

Found these suckers down at Puresabe's site. They are supposed to convert midi files to nsf files that can then be inserted in the game (or copied via hex) but the instructions are unintelligible. If someone could help me figure this out, I'd appreciate it.

I tried converting the MK2 selection screen song using Famitracker. Sounded horrible. Static in the background and other strange oddities.

I played the demo today, and I have to say I enjoyed it.

I found a way around the door glitch after you destroy Super Snifit. Granted, you will need all MM4 Game Genie Codes. Just activate the "Skull Shield" cheat. Then select the weapon in the pause menu after you defeat SS. (It should be called "Q. Barrier") Stand in front of the door with the weapon selected. press the shoot button once. You should see a bubble overlapping MM. When that happens, press up and, boom! You have entered the next area of the level.

The hack looks great, infidelity, I just have some suggestions.

1. In the spirit of the popularity of retro gaming with MM9 and the soon-to-come MM10, I think, in my personal opinion, that you should have at least 1 female robot master/level boss in the game.

2. Since you expanded the rom, see if it's possible to add "unlockables" i/e Play as Roll w/ Battle Armor or Nightmare Difficulty or Rare weaponry, etc.

3. I felt it unnecessary to have one capsule for the "X-Style Dash" and one for the "Classic Dash". Instead, fuse both upgrades in one capsule with the X Wall climb, since all 3 of those are leg upgrades and use the spare capsules for a powerup such as "Improved Body Armor" or " Destructive Helmet" or "All Weapon Charge Shot". Or just put "Hadoken" in it and make it impossible to find. A different armor for MM at every capsule would be nice too. And Dr. Light needs to have a blue tint to sell the "sentient hologram in the capsule" schtick.

4. I enjoyed the fact that you ported SMB2 and Sonic music so well in the demo levels. I like to see more good ports. I suggest using the Credit Music from SM64 for the MMU2 Creds. And hopefully, you can throw a wrestling theme in there too. (Even if you don't use it in-game. Put it in an unused id or something, I'll find it.)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'm expecting great things from you, infidelity. Don't disappoint.

So, I was doing my no-gg-cheat run on the demo and I encountered a huge glitch.

I had destroyed the "Metool Gauntlet" and gotten Tri-Shot. I headed to Plantman's stage. I grabbed the X-Dash powerup. 1st thing is that there is an inconsistency with the activating of the dash. Normally in MMX, the dash is activated by tapping left or right twice rapidly. Here, apparently you have to walk a short distance then while walking, tap the same direction you're heading and MM will dash. This was not good since there were some dash jumps I attemped yesterday and due to this I could not execute them correctly. (That's not the glitch, but I'd thought I'd mention it). When I got to Plantman, I changed to the Tri-shot weapon and fired away. When his lifebar was halfway, I think he tried to do the rain that activates the piranha plant, because at that moment the rom seriously crashed. The screen went gray with a few colored lines while the music was stuck on one note.

Might wanna look into that one, infidelity.

This is what I wrote not too long ago, it's from my previous post.

again the weapons were never ment to be used since alot of them are destroyed asm, or deactivated, or some custom asm is overlapping them, causing undesired effects.


Well, maybe the weapons should've been disabled for the demo, cause it's misleading that we get weapons for destroying the bosses in a DEMO.
