I think SMW Hacking should remain separate from other Mario games- there are a ton of SMW-specific utilities and such that make it a "special case", as it were, as opposed to hacking say, SMB1 and CV1, where many of the same rules of NES hacking apply.

Wasn't the ROM Hacking releases forum's existence tied to the approval system? That is, it was added to allow people to post releases without being approved. As we don't have an approval system, it's probably not needed (though, will the approval system be back?)

If we do add placeholders, it'd be nice to have them disappear eventually as well, I've seen other forums where you end up with long lists of placeholders even back in the archives of old threads...

The main feature I miss are layouts...

Well, wouldn't there be other features that should be added before a approval system? Besides we could always wait until it starts becoming a problem again...

Well, yeah, it's not an immediate priority when the ROM Hacking forum isn't getting that many posts of any sort, let alone stupid ones...

I do have a question, though- why aren't there any more screenshots? The movies are nice and all, but especially with the amazing new LZ the compression ruins the graphics...

I think SMW hacking is just different enough from the other types... and theres no reason to group "Mario Hacking" as a whole. Hacking SMB2 and SMW are very different from each other, for example...

I actually got my staff position back on the "other place"... I've closed the categories for all the non-ROM Hacking and General Gaming forums there, I'm only staying there for the ROM Hacking forums anyway...

I didn't notice they had revoked Acmlm's admin position... they're not even pretending it's "Acmlm's Board", are they?
