Er, well... *cough*

It appears that he did have the chip on him, and while he was at fault for not giving it to me, it wasn't on purpose. So while I retain my right to be pissed at him, I acknowledge that he wasn't purposely trying to scam me.

So on a side note, I think I might have damaged one of the ribbon cables in the PS2. After installation was finished, I found out that the reset/open switches weren't receiving any power, nor was the disc player. Judging from the fact that the PS2 is receiving power (you can here the faint buzz when you turn it on), it looks like I have a whole other adventure on my hands.

Hey everyone, thought I'd jump to a more correct forum with my given problem.

Having installed the mod chip, BIOS and DSP clips, and the eject slot, I should be all hunky dory when it comes to running my PS2. However, I've stumbled across a new problem: there's no power being supplied to the reset/eject buttons and/or other parts of the system. All I'm getting is a faint buzzing noise once I turn on the power switch on the back of the PS2.

That tells me that the power adapter is working, so the next step would be to wonder whether it's a ribbon cable that's the problem. But as far as I can tell, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the cables right now. None of them appear to be broken or anything.

So I ask you, nay, I beseech you, fellow forum mongers. Give me some input, helpful at that.

Edit: Now I'm confident that it's not a ribbon wire problem. When I press either the reset or eject buttons, the buzzing noise drops, and when I release them, it rises back up.

What's supposed to happen once you get them to the grave stones? Does it just advance you through the stage?

Valid point. Places like SMW Central are good trial and error testing grounds for posting in forums. If anything, it gives them a little practice on [what little is there] forum etiquette. Better then introducing them to the internet on these forums, if anything.

The Link's Awakening manga was much better, but that's enough off topicness for now.

Gimme.

WTF THIS ISN'T GAMEFAQS GTFO

Then tell acmlm to implement a post delete button, or I will continue doing that if I feel the need to "delete" my post.

NO U.

The Russian translates to "Get ready to see an old fairy tale to a new, modern Giant! SONIC MEGAMIX - it Rimeik old, the first of an already good Sonika. It is our old friend Soniku come to the aid of his new friends - and the battleship Migthy black flocked Shedou. Apart from the newly heroes of the game changed in the cavity - levels have become longer, more beautiful and dangerous new enemies, as well as a completely changed music, and you heard some of the other "Sonikah" and the other composers wrote entirely new."

Basically, Russian Pirates took Team Megamix's Sonic Megamix, stuck it on a cartridge, and sold it for their handheld Genesis system without giving any credit to the folks over at Sonic Retro/SGMC. Also, all the profit for their work goes to the pirate company. There was a discussion about how this could have been prevented had there been some sort of feature that would make the ROM unplayable if any code were touched.

While it's a bit of an extreme case, the idea is the same. And I don't know about the majority of the rest of the community, but in the Sonic hacking scene a lot of people "borrow" material from other hacks without giving credit. As far as I'm concerned, if someone wants to release their hack to the public without having everyone searching their code for any nifty features they added via ASM or whatever, they should have the option to.

Yeah, you should exercise complete and total control over what everyone says and thinks. It worked for Big Brother, after all.

I'd retort this statement by saying there's nothing wrong with banning people who deserve it, but the truth is you're absolutely right, and it is working well for Big Brother so far. So there's no need to retort anything. Even though I just did. Fuck.

Do I have to pick either of those answers or can I say something completely different?
Technically, I was only giving you one answer to chose from, but now I'm intrigued. =P

So does that mean the speed level/maze level/speed level setup is disappearing? As I recall, you didn't have Marble Zone as a speed zone before.

Also, liking the fire trails left behind.

@ShadowTails: I can't tell with these images, but are you going for a cell-shaded appearance? If so, you should probably revamp the graphics of all the enemies and whatnot while you're at it.

The menu retains the flowers that you pick up, and allows you to use them as spare energy packs. (aka, if Mario becomes small, using it will make him firepower).

Also, lol at the game when playing as Luigi.

It's looking like this is shaping up to be the new Toad's Tool of the ROM hacking community, if you catch my drift (points up at the last two posts).
