Super Mario Rape.
-A game that relies completely on various glitches and quirks to abuse the game in order to continue.
-It can be completed, but the task will be ridiculously difficult and will require patience and save states.
-Sometimes you must choose the path that looks like the wrong one, because killing yourself may be the only way to proceed.

- A "Super Mario World: Air" hack, bassically using the same concept of the Air hack of SMB, an impossible game that requires loads of savestates, glitch abuse, get an exact amount of coins and time, etc.

Looks funky. What are you making it with?

Same as SMB3WS, Delphi 7. It shouldn't be too difficult to convert it to FreePascal, making it compilable on platforms other than Windows as well, but I haven't really looked into that yet.

That's awesome. Great to see that not all games nowadays are being made with Game Maker or Multimedia Fusion.

The original file may be located here. It has no background and there's some stroke issues in her hair.

But as for the one I'm really showing off in this thread is the one below.

I vectored the old crappy GIF and made it a hi-res version. Comments would be nice.
Background done by Suffix. Kudos to him.

The one thing I want to know is... why a leek? LOL.

It has something to do with the original Anime, Bleach.
In case you're interested on the original content, check http://www.leekspin.com

You're missing the hairpiece and the emblem on the shirt.

Daashkashjrask I thought people would never notice.
After the first version I actually noticed the flaw and decided that I'll correct it whenever I get a background.
But for some reason I forgot.

Before my hard disk went boom, I used to collect notes from SMW, like how high Mario jumps, how many pixels does Mario move in a second, and stuff like that.
Never got too far.

You will also need to find the Nintendo DS BIOS.

Which are illegal to obtain, so don't request them. Just a heads-up.
And pretty much everything said in this topic is true. No DS emulator is good enough to emulate NSMB perfectly.

I thought Kirby's Adventure hacking was extremely difficult.
Seems like you've done quite a job! Astounding discoveries there, BMF. I've always wanted to know if there's unused stuff in any Kirby game.
Nice job!

As for all the white space: well what would you guys like to see in this editor? Gimme ideas!

Uuuh, text editor comes first to my mind.
Then maybe a bigger area to be viewable. The default 15 x 16 blocks makes it look pretty wonky. Either that or Zooming.

The cape is an external sprite that's placed behind Mario.
And this is the wrong forum.

I laughed at the Goomba one.
The fbf ones are good too, but you should have everything animated. I mean, when the ghost stands still, it's immobile. Redraw every frame using onionskin for best results.

So much better than the pixel art one!
I love it.

Now that it's vectored, could you perhaps do a slightly bigger one? :3

Music editor?

I doubt it though.

Good work anyway!

VL_Tone made an experimental Metroid Music Editor back in the golden days.
Maybe the music system is somewhat the same between these two games?

Your legs are too cylinderic, but not bad for a first try

Actually, they're quite cubic.
I applied a HyperNURBS modifier patch to the model.
Here's the low poly model:

HyperNURBS converts low-poly model to high-poly model but still keep the low-poly feel.
It's kinda hard to explain but I think there's a somewhat similar thing in Blender, so you should know.

Blender. Quite lightweight, unique interface (once it grows on you, you'll love it) and I use it. It's also open source and cross platform Free Software rather than the propietary "omg lol mail us for key to use heavily botched trial of our 600mb uesless modlin software" crap.

I tried Blender, and I loved it too. It was a bit confusing, and the install package was really really small in size.
But for some reason, I still prefer C4D over it. C4D is great for first-timers, I guess.

Please don't depend much on subdivisions when you first model. Try to make some shapes poly by poly or make some figures or so.

Well, I've seen your models, and they look pretty awesome. Thanks for the professional advice!

I never really liked your SML2 hack.
It was buggy here and there and the World map was inaccurate.

But it's been a while since I've seen you. Hope you've improved.

Well, I am one of the few Mac users, and I know a person who might be interested on a Linux build.
So yeah, 8, I guess.
I've never played an F-Zero game, and it'd be awesome to tear the game apart right from the very beginning.
