Probably just shoddiness.
Eh. Consider, also, the chances of this cropping up during playtesting; slim to none. Hell, we really only found out about it by pure accident, I'd guess

Also, amkes me wonder. What happens if you make the sprite edible, and eat it?

Does the level cease being side-exit enabled?

Even better, if you'd set the side exit enabled sprite to be the sprite that Yoshi lays after eating amounts of Berries.

Haha, someone needs to do this. It would be so funny.

Hrm, I still have doubts on it... Is the sprite X/Y dependent?

This shall go down as "Biggest Hoax of 2007"

More like "Shittiest Attempt at tricking people to believing something incredibly stupid of 2007"
Seriously, watch me find a corruptor, jumble up SMW and add some gfx from Super Mario 64 into it and release it in the internet as "Super Mario World 1985 beta lololo"

Lookin' great! Only flaw I seem to detect is the letter "g". It looks funky.
What font is that anyway, looks great.

Maybe offtopic, but By a chance, do you have any experience with Cinema 4D? I'd love to take a try at 3D too.

As for the pic, looks pretty snazzy. I'm a bit bothered that all the polygons but the nipples are big.
May be just my tendency to low-poly models, but then again I doubt it's a restriction or a problem anyway.

Great job!

I have no experience with Cinema 4D, just Blender and Milkshite.

Nipples too big? I thought they were quite small (tiny areolas ftw). Hm.

No no no, don't get me wrong. The polygon triangles in the nipples are smaller than the polygons used everywhere else.

I can't wait to see the look on people's faces tomorrow (also my Bday!)

Oh me neither.
Because the flag is beyond horrible.
There's countless flaws in it, and if you won't notice them yourself you're either blind, have mental issues or your screen is distorted vastly.

For your multiplatform condrum, you COULD use GTK, and be able to make Mac and Linux ports =)

Quoted for truth.

No it doesn’t, but it does have that note block that spits an unlimited number of coins out, which would be another bug….

Yyeaahh... But what I meant is that the glitch effect is still the same:

I remember running iNes on an old computer back then.

But, then again, I'm sure there's a LOT more decent emulators than iNes out now, considering it was waaaay back.

Hey, that's pretty professional!
Have you considered sending a portfolio of such to a gaming company? That's really good, and I'm sure you could make Hi-poly models too!

Tile used by Chargin' Chuck's s
houlder while charging (value is the left tile. The tile to the right is automatically chosen to complete the arm)

I remember looking for this ages ago. Thanks a bunch.
I hate Chargin' Chuck tilemaps too much anyway.

Looks awesome!
Gonna try this out soon.

Slightly off topic, but are you still working on that Sutte Hakkun translation?

I want to know your inspiration for coming up with that. I thought it had a ridge of skin on the top of its head at first, but then... I saw it was a tentacle.

As for dithering, you can try it (and show us) if you do, but it doesn't look bad at all to start with...

The main inspiration was from a song from the Beatles, called "Octopus' Garden". Great song, you might want to hear it as well.
And thanks for the comment, although I forgot to mention that this is a Work in Progress.

the only thing that really bugs me about this right away is that his mouth is in the wrong place

Where should it be, then?
Lower, upper, where?
