0x3983E2 - 2 bytes.
Unheadered by the way. Just change it to anything, like, 08 89 for the Cave music or 82 85 for the Bonus level music.
EDIT: Looks like it works only if you enter the level normally, and not through a Save-barrel or an internal exit in the level.. Try changing the other values nearby.

doubt anywhere near being close since genesis ASM would be alot more complicated than 6502.

Don't take it too seriously, but from what I've heard, 68000 Assembly is one of the simplest around.. Could be just that I've been misinformed, so yeah...

Anyway, the editor looks very good.. You'd think a Japanese person wouldn't have even localized it but what do you know, pretty awesome.

As I mentioned on MSN, hot stuff right there!
You should probably inform the folks at TMK's Lost Bytes about this.

Remember when I documented the map format and Treeki made an editor soon after? Well, thought I'd do some more research and hope for history to repeat itself. Any enthusiastic VB programmer with nothing to do should definitely grab Treeki's source and look into this.

But anyway, the document is here. Contains adresses and information of all the sprites and their frames in the Overworld and its submaps.

The author of the nocash project is just like any of us ACMLMers, is supporting him with even a few dollars to help him get through his already slightly miserable life too much to ask?
Troopa Pride, you don't even need a debugger. Why did you even consider pirating a program so cheap and meaningless to you?
I understand people going for piracy when it comes to Adobe or Microsoft products, because for one, they don't need your money. They already have enough to buy everything they need. Supporting them will only ensure that it will stay that way.

But seriously, just look at the guy. Is five bucks you'd get in a snap from your parents just too much for your life to lose?

Were those big brown tornadoes in the original game or have I just not played for awhile? They don't look familiar.

Those are just ordinary tornadoes, only without the alpha layer.

Hehe, I really love the idea of a SML2 hack.

There's really not too many of them at this point. How much work is done on that hack? Just that level, or is there more?

Only that level.
My notes can be seen at this lousy host. I update them sporadically. In fact, I would've uploaded a new one just now but login is temporarily unavailable.

Be sure to hover on the Octopus for mild hilarity.

That must be a real testament to the games graphics if he thinks its a DS game. I think those are like, screen captures of polygonal graphics that are converted to sprites. Which gives it its 3d Look. I seen some proto graphics of it when it was a gamecube game, and it was hand drawn sprites then, and it had a level editor. I guesss what you see here are some leftovers.

Exactly. It was titled 'Donkey Kong plus' back then and upon connecting to the GameCube, you could make your own levels.

You might want into looking smoothing the graphics up a bit of the enemies you upsize, unless you want that pixelated look.

I think the point was to demonstrate the sprites themselves and how they function, not their appearance.

Troopa Pride, I started making a video to demo Lazy Shell, but then I sounded stupid on video so I trashed it.

Haha, I've been there... too many times.

Great job, though. I would've thought it'd be way more difficult to use, but the video enlightened me a lot.
Awesome.
