Sounds great, especially for archival purposes. No hack will have an unknown author.
I had this idea of a separate program that locks ROMs but then again that'd be useless with the Author Stamp thing.

Basically it's a set of Tool-Assisted videos of Megaman X games where the #1 goal is entertainment, not speed. I only beat the bosses, not the levels.

You should tween the left hand so it's moving up and down slowly, rubbing the WCC.

It's an external image.
But yeah, if you still have the vectored version, be sure to do the rubbing thing, it'd look pretty good.

Raccoon Sam, the black-and-white minimaps are actually visible in regular graphics editors and were presumably created separately and not automatically generated from the track parts. I wouldn't mind having to draw them manually.

Well, getting around the font issue would probably work with some tilemap fingering (Lower tile of U and the upper tile of a slightly modified I make a J.) although I don't see anyone being bored enough to go through such work.
The best thing would to make plans of the track names first and then replace the characters your hack doesn't use at all.

Although I don't really like the text editor.. Besides the uppercase/number rule, what are the limitations? You should really put a small panel with the graphics you can use, so people wouldn't be so restricted.
What I mean is that there are other characters there too, like the Question mark, yet you mention only upper-case characters and numbers.
