Well that's good. At least it wasn't for nothing. I see Bionic Commando is getting no love.
It looks like Castlevania is in the lead though. I'm curious to see if that would change by the end. Just so there is no confusion, the voting ends at 12AM on the first, EST. I'm so looking forward to March anyway, because it has been so f*king cold here in the U.S. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Yay, the last day of the voting! This will be the last mapper conversion I do for a while. I see that Castlevania and Zelda are tied. If someone could break the tie by midnight, that would be great! Otherwise, Castlevania might win by default (since it is the first option in the poll and in alphabetical order).
On side news, my Megaman 2 CHR-ROM conversion is now 50% done! All of the backgrounds have been converted, and Monday I will start doing the sprites for the stages, after making the mapper conversion of the winning poll option. EDIT: March 1st, 12:00 AM And the winner is... Castlevania! Thanks to everyone who voted! Expect the mapper patch for Castlevania soon! Poll over. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

And here it is! The winning-vote mapper conversion!
Because Castlevania had very little free space in the hardwired bank, I had no choice but to expand the ROM. Patch and readme included inside the zip file. Enjoy! Get it here! ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

All of sudden too... I never had this problem before. But for whatever reason, it won't log me in. I put in the correct username and password, and then it says it will redirect me like it usually does, but then I'm still logged out. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Wow this is really awesome infidelity! What a great idea! You should make a video of it in action. I'll favorite it on YouTube.
Yeah I know, the Uploader has a problem right now. I need to upload something myself, and I can't because it won't let me log in. But I did post a thread about it in the General Chat forum. You also gave me the inspiration for another idea when I'm done with my MM2 CHR-ROM conversion. I'll put Megaman 1 and 2 on a single cartridge, and call it Megaman Origins! EDIT: I just tested it! It works like a charm! You put some nice effort into it. Is the FDS screen for SMB2J just graphical? Was it done to imitate the FDS, or is that really how SMB2J opens? SMB2J was only made for the FDS right? Also, how long did it take you to make this if you don't mind me asking? ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Thank you! Yeah MMC5 conversions are actually pretty easy to do. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Posted by blackhole89Yeah sorry about that. I don't know why I overlooked that forum. I think I posted it in General Chat because it was the general forum of the board and I wanted this important issue to get noticed. I'm going to attempt to upload something. If by some chance the uploading feature doesn't work, do you know when it might get fixed? ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Ditch the old patch. It had a couple of mirroring issues that I have now corrected in version 1.1.
Get it here. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

I know, it's a lot of work just to do what appears to be simple. But it definitely came out really well. I like it! ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Yeah I already looked at the PPU viewer while the sprites were scrolling on the titlescreen. I was curious to see what you did.
You know, another idea if you wish to make a future expansion to this patch. You could add special cheat codes, where the player has to press a certain order of buttons on the titlescreen, while the sprites are moving, and when the code is entered correctly, a coin sound plays or something, and then the cheat would be activated within the game you play. Like with SMB3, on the SMAS screen, if you press Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, A, you hear a coin sound, so when you start SMB3, you start the game with 20 lives. Just an idea. I don't even know if it is that great of an idea, but it was just a thought. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

No no, you misunderstood. SMAS had nothing like that. I was just saying that as an example that you could do with your own hack. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Why do some games like SMB2J and Zelda1 write code to $6000-$7FFF? I opened up Zelda1, and in order for the code to get stored in that SRAM range, it has to already be in PRG-ROM. What is the point in doing that if the code already exists in PRG-ROM? The only thing I can think of, is that the code has to be constantly read, regardless of what bank is loaded, and that there is not enough free space in the hardwired bank to hold that code. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

When you say that Zelda modifies the asm, are you saying it modifies the code in PRG-ROM during run-time? I thought that couldn't be done on a NES. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Posted by KDeeeI'm still making Megaman Origins. I'm putting Megaman 1 and 2 on a single cart, and it will have a special bootup screen. I expect to be done with my CHR-ROM conversion within the next few days, and then I will begin work on it. Thanks again infidelity for inspiring me. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

I did a MMC3 conversion of The Guardian Legend over a year ago. It is a part of my Mapper Conversion Pack.

All of sudden the uploader isn't working again. I got this message when I tried to upload something:
Uploading RetroRain's Mapper Conversion Pack v1.1.zip(size 2459). You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's Mapper Conversion Pack v1.1.zip', '7 Mapper Conversions','12','840','2459',UNI' at line 1You get ID #0. All seems well. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

I have decided to update my Mapper Conversion Pack to Version 1.1. I have included the 3 other MMC5 conversions I did of Castlevania and Megaman 1 & 2, and I have also just made a brand new one to make this an even-numbered pack.
I have converted The Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle to MMC5. I wanted to convert that game to MMC3 a while ago, but never got around to it. Now that I know how to do MMC5 conversions, I just decided to make it MMC5 instead. Googie, if you're reading this, I thought of you when I decided to do the mapper conversion of TBBCC. I know how much you like to hack games like that. And now that it is MMC5, you can maximize the PRG to 1MB, and the CHR-ROM to 1MB, since the game already uses CHR-ROM! On a side note, my Megaman 2 CHR-ROM conversion is 95% done. I'm hoping to have it done and released this week! ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

Thank you ShaneM. Trust me, the MMC5 conversions are definitely worth it. They just provide a better base ROM to work with. Being able to have 1MB each for both PRG and CHR-ROM (if the game uses it) is excellent, and plus all of the other little benefits, such as bypassing the 2K RAM limit, an extra nametable, more leeway with colors, extra sound channels, a special splitscreen mode, and more. This is the best NES mapper to use, and converting to them is very easy to do. I plan on doing more in the near future. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |
