Is there a way to do Doom deathmatches over Steam? I've always wondered, but never had the opportunity to try it out. Anyway, just throwing that out there--go about your business!

"No." Board 2 is good because it doesn't represent anything--it means ROM hacking as much as it does gaming or programming or debate or, God bless it, "adult discussion forum." You could wipe the entire site tomorrow and make this a discussion board for sock puppet enthusiasts and it would still work. It's versatile.

You put a new name to a vote and every idiot on here is going to suggest some obnoxious name from some flavor-of-the-week anime that represents a tiny portion of what the board really offers. Besides, there's a bit of interesting history to it anyway that already has more substance than calling it "Luigi's Kafuka Board DX Remix" or something. Just leave it as is!

I used to twist and bite the hell out of my NES controllers as a kid whenever the games "cheated" (I lost). Incidentally, my two original NES controllers barely work now. Luckily I got a couple of NES Max controllers years back and have managed to control my teeth.

Unleashed on an unsuspecting world!

It's just such a weird idea, but maybe I'm just not "in the know" with these closeout/liquidation companies. Anyway, and if you want any, they're $5 each here:

Awesome. I'd been hoping someone would do this... I'll check it out in a second. Do you intend to add the extra enemies and items at some point?

I haven't used anti-virus software in about five years and haven't had any trouble, and I don't understand why anybody who's even an "intermediate computer user" should need any. Does everybody constantly go downloading files from anywhere, with no rhyme or reason, or what?

Very awesome level design. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear it was an actual, unused SMB3 level!

Hm, the screenshots--indeed, all the images on the site--seem to be missing.

I never really cared for the original all that much, but this one looks very cool. I'll definitely be checking it out...

Preface: I'm a very, very poor economist, if you can even call me that (you can't)--that is, I know nearly nothing beyond the bare essentials of how economies even work. So those of you who passed Microeconomics 101, please hold your laughter and choke back your rage.

Having said that, I always wondered: in cases of hyperinflation, why don't governments simply stop printing money for lengths of time? Wouldn't this effectively force the money to regain some of its value? Somebody help me out here.

I wasn't impressed when I checked it out a few months back.

It seemed to have a lot of compatibility issues with javascript.

For being such anti-corporate dicks, they sure know how to turn shit around in a flash. Personally, I stopped using Piratebay in favor of other trackers. All I forsee is a big corporate sellout, removal of protected media, and a large decrease in users.

Also, members only plz.

Eh heh heh... what?

As long as they don't have actual "nut heads" when you hack the graphics for the final version, you should be good to go.

Edit: also, I find something very appealing about the palette and I can't explain what. I'm not sure if I could handle it for an entire game play-through, but it's certainly not offensive in these screen shots, by and large.

Haven't played it yet, but right off the bat I have a suggestion: get rid of the lame-looking, ultra-compressed "girl" at the end of the robot masters' names. Either hack however the text is displayed so you have more room, use much shorter names, or use something that will actually fit, like "Guts Gal," "Cut Gal," etc.

Just sayin'...
