Outstanding work on this editor, a masterpeice really. But I've been having a few problems. I sent you an email Interdpth, but I'm not sure if you got it. I solved most of those problems when I found this thread, since I had a very outdated version and found the link here to a more recent one.

First off, any time I try to load Chozodia, it crashes, saying: Runtime error '9' Subscript out of range. I've tested it with clean ROMs and ones I've already edited, and it always does this. Also, I can't remember the precise room, but I recall trying to enter a room, and it crashed similarily.

Also, I found with the text editor, if I change the text for say, the difficulty levels, it modifies text in other places in the game. For example, I modified Easy and Normal to Normal and Hard, and then modified Easy, Normal, and Hard to Normal, Hard, and Insane, but then it screwed up the text in the other one, and a few other places. I got to correct it, and it screwes up other places as well.

When I try to modify enemy stats, it saves the data in the slot 0000 instead of the intended one, and the enemy isn't changed.

Speaking of enemies, I can't figure out how to change them. Like, for one, I don't know what to put in the box to change their type to another sprite when I right click them on the editor, two, I've tried this a few times, and even if I change a Zoomer into a Geemer, or vice versa for example, it shows up as a blinking eye shaped dot when I try to test the ROM. And I haven't figured out how the enemy editor window does yet, I've tried changing the numbers around, and all the enemies just appear at the top left square with their type changed, but in the blinking eye thing when I load it to test.

Adding to that, I'm trying to work out how to edit scroll data... I can't figure out how to change it's size, and if I modify it while it isn't full screen, it changes nothing, but if I modify it with full screen, it crashes when I close the scroll editor.

As you may have gathered, I don't have a clue how to work most of it. I can change terrain, clipdata, move enemies, use foreground and backlayer, but most of it I still don't understand. I've tried looking for a full FAQ, but I can't seem to find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently working on two hacks for Metroid Zero Mission, so I was wondering about the level of interest pertaining to the concepts. The first, and easier to design one was intended to be slightly more challenging(not a great deal, and nothing so bad as like, three screens of infinite bomb jumping, no need for horizontal and diagonal bomb jumps, etc.), and to change the item collection path.

Obviously, the idea is that sequence breaking will be very difficult, if not impossible in this hack(although, kudos to anyone who may be able to). The only truly difficult parts will be the boss battles, which I intend to make quote challenging, but one can't complain for that, save points are right next to them practically, and if you really search out upgrades decently enough, and practice, you should be fine.

The other one, which I'll be waiting to get a better version of Zero Fission for(due to needing to be able to change tilesets without messing up backgrounds, and needing to be able to edit Chozodia...), is basically intended to be a complete redesign of the game, at about the same level of difficulty as the original, but with a few new twists, such as an area near the planet's core, where you must dive into a Maridia like lava area(I always found it rather lacking how few rooms you could really count as liquid enviroments in the actual game). You get the idea though.

Okay, I've had this problem for a while, and google doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about. I'm trying to use SMILE, but there's a huge problem. It doesn't run. At all. I always get an error, titled Smile1, that says: "Run time error '76' Path not found."

Anyone know what the problem is?

Odd, I redownloaded it again, for like the sixth time, and this time it worked. Before this version, it never worked at all.

How about Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic, and Water/Fighting? Now I know it sounds a bit wierd and not quite following the usual trend, but think about it. Each of them is stronger, and weaker than the others at the same time, and rather than being a simple matter of Fire>Grass>Water>Fire, it is instead: Fire>Grass>Water>Fire and Psychic
Now, on the other hand, if you're using existing pokemon, I have no decent ideas.
