speaking of which, what's with the giant clock on a desktop fad again? Are the 90s being repeated?

The actual syntax to the img element is: <img src="http://example.com/image.png" alt="short description for image-crippled users" />

At least that's the minimum required... there's a few more options for the img element that aren't required, and are for more advanced use.

If you're using Internet Explorer, get Firefox, if you're using FireFox, get Opera. If you're using Opera, get Internet Explorer.

That's what we call a perfect way of deducting which browser to use.

I use none of them. HOW'S THAT FOR YOUR PLAN? (Not to mention my operating system can't even support your method, just the way I like it)

The login cookies are bound to your /16 IP range.

I planned to build a "construct custom login cookie" feature for those who switch between ranges often (to bind it to multiple ranges), but never got around to do it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That's so annoying.

That's why Theo's "free as in air" phrase makes more sense.

Obsolete and deprecated are not the same thing. Take a look at .NET (2002) when it came out. Microsoft wanted people to use the .NET api in favor of the more arcane Win32 SDK. That doesn't stop me from programming in Win32 in 2008 (which I do a lot of). Designating something as deprecated means it has fallen out of favor with the people that design the language, not necessarily the people that use it.

Microsoft probably wants to be able to compile their own programs still... assuming they use the same compiler that's up for download

It'd be fun. Maybe something free so everyone can play, like Urban Terror or Nexuiz or Tremulous, or whatever else.

Edit: Would be fun to play a game together. Even non-free games should work, such as TF2...

Well, I originally made the thread with Quake 3 in mind, but not everyone has the game, or necessarily wait until they buy it... heh

Alright so Ailure may or may not be a lazy bastard but he knows no php, whatever.

Don't get him wrong, he's still a lazy bastard. That won't learn PHP.

It's a flight simulator geared for realistic physics... you expect a lower-end computer to handle that?

The people have spoken. Nightkev, you just got refuted.

In other news:

[16:46:59] Xkeeper>> I should make a ~ban command
[16:47:05] Xkeeper>> that spits out some random board2-style excuse for not doing it
[16:47:34] Xkeeper>> my personal favorite: "we can't ban <person>, they post too much"

Hypocrisy much?

also
<Paul`> Intel is making a cpu that has 30 megs cache on it
<Paul`> bad news, its Itanium X_X

I've never had any issues connecting with DeltaAnime... the services themselves are sometimes being upgraded and are gone for a few minutes, but it's a very minor issue. Might also consider EFnet...

Other than that, I can't really recommend any others. I like Freenode's and OFTC's stability, but they generally hate channels that don't pertain to the whole reason they exist.
