On a related matter, you should see what Nintendo did when they ported Wolfenstein 3D to the Super NES. lulz.

I wouldn't even trust board2 if you want anything remotely secure and stable and competently coded...

Shouldn't be hard to use PunBB and give it an Acmlmboard-like look.

http://2dboy.com/games.php. You can now name your own price for the game. Whether $0.01 if you're an ass, or $100 if you're overly generous.

It is a prety good game, I'd do $5-10 myself...

Development of microprocessors haven't stalled (in fact, it just continues getting stronger and faster than ever), but we've probably reached a point where new hardware doesn't provide a whole lot of options for necessarily making better games; just prettier ones. IMO, the sixth generation was really the last point where you could see major improvements (especially shaders and dynamic lighting; actually this depends on what you call "major"... I know some people who'd say that the jump to 3D was really the last major development, everything since is just minor improvement).

Then I suggest getting a credit card (which involves opening an account at your nearest bank...) or asking a friend to buy it for you.

movies based on the concept of a game (Gamer) suck.

I thought it was more of a failed attempt to remake The Running Man. Seriously now, a remake of an Arnod movie without Arnold is bound to fail.

GameCube/Wii emulation can be better than the real consoles since you could render graphics at high definition.... but generally, I'd prefer the real thing.

Very easy to use. Good work so far.

Is this the beginning of Super Emil Bros. 3?

In Linux, correct me if I'm wrong, you have to download the updates yourself. This brings its own problems.

For the most part, you are wrong; while some distributions like Slackware, Arch, or Gentoo make this a very manual process by their design, the distributions aimed towards average users like Fedora, Ubuntu, or openSUSE make it rather painless and far easier of a process than Windows has ever done it. By default they don't automtically download and install updates (although they can be configured as such), but it does inform you when updates are available and you just click the bit "update now" button and it's all done for you.

Yeah, I had to reinstall Windows on some idiot's computer recently.. the default is to do it at 3am every morning, when his computer is never on; and it's always sporadic, he's the kind that always turns it off when not using it for more than a few minutes, so such a rigid schedule doesn't even make sense. Linux distributions on the other hand are likely to just use anacron or something similar which will run out tasks on the first bootup after you missed a scheduled time. Eg, Ubuntu can still automatically download updates even if your computer was off for the normal time.

Not to mention that, but given the default schedule Windows sets up, I had to go through the entire update process by hand on Windows, rebooting three times to recieve even more updates... and the whole thing had to be handheld as you had to click "I Agree" to various updates or setting up Internet Explorer 8....

Boing, lives are generally irrelevant in any Mario game; it's a rare Mario game where you actually have a chance of getting a game over (such as, SMB2j).

I was playing SMB3 on my Wii after years of not playing it... I got a few game overs.

Although, lives are still a relic from the arcade days (INSERT MORE COINS TO CONTINUE!) and it's silly that games still have them; especially since saves were made (and some console games have built in save-state like functionality as well; as many saves as you want, rewind the level, etc).

Well, not that Acmlmboard2 inherited either of the bugs and the popularity of the 1.x branch...

Yeah, ever since it was released, nobody's done anything with it...

o wait.
