Your object tutorial works fine. I don't see why you haven't implemented it yet though... I'm currently making an object list... it will take a while but I've found things like possible beta collision blocks, the flag, and even check points. I even found a collision block of doom that kills you if you run into it . (It will only kill ou once and then it disappears...) I have yet to go farther but for now all I can do is keeping moving at a very slow pace...

Well I know how much work is needed to make a thurough object list since I've been tediously working... but I'll give it a try if I could get sonic's help.

I've just found out how to change Koopa Troopa colors too. I'll toss that in along with my documentation. I'm a bit hesitant to try this on paratroopas or even goombas but for the sake of documentation it shall be done!

As for the editor a name... I was thinking NSLM (New Super Lunar Magic) but you'd probably get in a heap of trouble for that... so how about NSME ('Nother Super Mario Editor)

PS 'nother as in another

They are enemies. Located at EB.

Ironic how they are "Enemies" yet you need to get them to beat the game. LOL

How about we nuke every forum except the rom hacking ones and end the monster circlejerk once and for all?

(I like my idea because it is smart and gets rid of all the deadweight!)

Or ya know get rid of all the bad blood in the other forums... that works too I guess.

I personally think we should just go with NINJA... For some reason whenever it's brought up people push it aside. I think it's time we faced the facts. IPS isn't going be with us for the newer romhacks, we should just start using NINJA now.

Now that that's done, time to get down to business. I'll be dedicating most of today to finding pipe data. I have reason to beleive it's like any other object that can be moved via coordinates. I'll look into this today and hopefully find something...

(P.s. You guys watch MY vid yet? )

I love that editor! All that is needed is enemy editing and I'll be happy.

However, I wish I could edit other levels than 1-1 easily. It seems that the mushroom platforms in 1-3 are said to be unknown... :/

Well not everything has been documented... like there are some boxes that you'll have to guess at and write in your own number. Just wait a bit.

I haven't had much chance to work on this today.

But get ready for enemy editing, soon!

Wow... already... My question is though... will we be able to change from one enemy type to the other?

In fact, I think it's a bit premature for enemy editing. After some reasearch, I found that there is much more to editing object sprites than just object X Y (and color in the case of koopas). Now I don't know everything yet but I can tell that there's more than there seems to be.

1) If the admins are being far too loose with the rules, we need to do like we did when the FAQ was rewritten, and just define a simple system that will lead to the removal of members, and ENFORCE IT. You might think this is easier said than done, but it really is not! All we have to do is not unban people unless they can show us proof that they deserve it, or proof that they won't be offensive again.

2) I can't solve this, but I think that maybe letting Xkeeper look at staff forums was a bad idea. Instead, we need to do things like make this list here, which proves that he is being listened to. He claims we were told about the MySQL issues which led to the PM flood, but we weren't, because while we were warned, we weren't given a solution, and that needs to be gotten from him the next time he wants to pull something like this. Perhaps approaching him on a one-to-one basis would be a better idea?

3) I guess the best way to solve this problem would be to not point fingers so quickly -- Blackhole, Xkeeper says he kept ragging on you to look at the server logs in the case of 1.php, and I'm wondering why you claimed you had conclusive evidence that he did it, when the public is clearly suspicious. There is no way to not jump to conclusions, but I think a good idea was admitting that Xkeeper was not responsible and that it was wrong to accuse him of doing so, which has already been done.

4) I think this is a matter of opinion on his part, but if anyone has input about this, it might be a good idea to give it.

5 and 5a) A good idea to solve this problem would be to destaff me. I've been being an ass this entire time, and I really haven't been helping.

6) This ties in very heavily with issue 1. It can be solved in the same way.

So, that's it. I would also like to declare that I am personally very biased against Xkeeper, and do not like him at all, so. In spite of this, I think listening to him would be a good idea or, failing any progression that comes of it, a great way to get him to shut up, since once he's run out of things to say, he might not want to say anything.

1) Better being loose on the rules towards everyone than doing it like Xkeeper and having different rules apply to people depending on how close to him they are. Besides, I am positive Acmlm's Board was a way more fun place before the unreasonable permabanning wave started. You may vote me out of staff if you want, but as long as I am there, I'll lobby against repeating those mistakes. The reason I lobbied for Xk to get removed was his way of running things, not his person.
If I can flame, spam, abuse holes, PM flood 410M of data, spam, flame more, troll, troll more, flame some more, spam, be a drama monger, and still only get 14 days of banning, you are a fucking moron who should go admin Wikipedia. Seriously.

Next thing you know it'll be a 7-day ban for truncating the database.

2) The PM flooding was, in his own words, done to "see how much it would take to get banned". If he gave out any kind of warning, I did not receive it.
Grey was mistaken and I didn't give out any warning, and yes, it was to see how much it would take to get banned. Worked rather well, yes?

3) I don't recall ever claiming having conclusive evidence, I just was convinced it was him myself for a certain timespan. Those ominous "server logs" don't even exist in a way this could have been proven or disproven with them, though I turned a "soft" solution in the board code on shortly after. Another culprit was found anyway.
Bullshit:
<~blackhole89> it WAS Xk
<+Apophis> no
<+Tyty210> ...
<+Tyty210> no
<+Gywall> If I leave the internet.. like.. most of my good life is gone. >>
<~blackhole89> are you really so dumb to fall for this
<+Sonicandtails> no
<+Apophis> if it was xk, he'd be gragging about it elsewhere
<~blackhole89> he is
<~blackhole89> I got logs
<~blackhole89> I can't reveal my sources, but he is

And if you don't have any logs at all, how did your right hand man Ailure somehow manage to find who it was? OOPS, YOU FUCKED UP
Hint: Don't claim one thing whlie having your cronies claim another. Especially since it makes no sense; you have no proof at all without logs, yet you somehow mysteriously manage to figure out who it was? CONFUSED.

4) Though I really don't feel like rehashing it another time, I am not aware of having overstepped my privileges as the server hoster at any point of time. I (and later some others) persuaded Acmlm to issue an order to have Xkeeper removed from power, which is something I could have done as a normal user just as well (though Xk probably would have banned me the moment suspicions arose for him); after Acmlm issued that order, it would have been any hoster's duty (simply because the banner still reads "Acmlm's Board") to fulfil it. If Acmlm had rejected my proposals, I would've left the subject alone [and probably left the board if it continued like that, reducing the relationship to Xkeeper to a pure neutral hoster-hostee one, but that's irrelevant to the matter]

persuaded Acmlm

fun fact: Acmlm told me it was mostly because of me fucking with MillyBot2, which you are also guilty of (Don't deny it, I have the exact file you used right here), yet you claim at the same time IRC is not the board? CONFUSED.

5) A proper staff reorganization is going to be done once Ailure and Emuz can finally be bothered to write up the thread for that.

Ailure + Emuz != Acmlm, yet it's name on the banner, as you just claimed. Odd, very odd. Oh right, you don't actually give a shit about Acmlm, and of course relying on Emuz, who has been on the board all of 7 days (and for a grand total of about 7 minutes). You're a real smart one.

5a) Grey is criticizing me omg remove him
"Grey's being a dickhead and challenging everything and being a dramamonger like me right now, I'd demote him just for stirring up shit just like I would've banned myself at this point"

6) I agree on that point, and disagree on the implied part that Xkeeper doesn't think "people" includes him.
No, I've only said I've been trying to get banned and testing to see how much it takes to get banned... which you just quoted me as saying a few blocks up. What the... Do you have worse short term memory than even me, or are you just fucking retarded?

[...]

On another note, since the whole conversation on the topic of enforcing the rules arose,
- frequent trolling
- even more frequent spamming (hello spiral text)
- flooding 400MB into the PM table "to see how much it would take to get banned"
- aggressively advertising his own site (check his sent PMs)
Don't you think this should be enough FAQ/rule violations to give Xkeeper a 14 day ban at least? (dissenting opinions in this thread or his S/A/O please, if I don't see any by tomorrow noon, I'll go by the response in the S/A/O thread so far and proceed)
So all that, just after saying that I wasn't one of the people who I thought needed banned? Way to go, captain. Way. To. Go.

Oh, and yes, spiral text really is spamming? What the hell? It's something amusing, no worse than the billion "how do I pronounce acmlm" threads and at least something new, but okay, find any excuse to ban me. Hell, Kawa, who seems to really hate me now, agreed with my point. That should tell you something.

And, uh, agressively? Sending it to 10 users tops and banning for it is even stricter than I was; I banned firetards after about 25-30 PMs to everyone, and only when the users were bothering me about being spammed. So if I'm so tyrannical, you're even worse -- nice going. Oh, don't forget removing all the users from those PMs, in effect censoring me and removing all PMs I sent to anyone at any time (link for proof), undoing it only after I called your bullshit.

To be honest, the contra games are event based. You may have a hard time hacking them because of this. Contra (NES) from what I remember may not have alot of events but it does have some. Well, best of luck to you anyway... =/
