can we post our own custom sprites here too?

I modified the mikeyk's spring board disassembly and turned into a pow switch, wich kills all the sprites on screen. I want to release it but I'm having a small problem. It still shows the spring board graphics if carried O_o

yes and the springboard uses flipped 8x8 tiles instead of one 16x16 tile.

@mikeyk, thanks I'll look into it now.

edit: get the sprite here

nice additions, mikeyk

I've fixed the SMB2 POW, it turns all sprites on screen into coins now, except for yoshi (and maybe some others). Also it will disappear if you try to carry it through a pipe. Sorry, I haven't found a better way :3

download

I've also updated the Bucket Head.

What's different between the old and new versions of the Buckethead?

the clipping field of the snowflake was wrong and I also changed bucket head's spitting SFX and some of his cfg settings. (a snowy guy who is invincible to fireballs doesn't make sense :3)

Don't worry xD.
Jonny, the guy who cracked the graphics format, has made an update of Gaijin's english translation patch which makes it now complete. It should be avaible at romhacking.net very soon.

That's the kind of thing I'd love to see animated

That's what I tried yesterday, but the graphics routine doesn't run every frame

I just found a new japanese block inserter called blite (blocktool lite?).
I haven't tried it yet, but I like what I've seen so far. The GUI is way better than the blocktool one and you don't have to convert the map16 number into decimal.
Unfortunatly, it uses bin files as well instead of asm files. I hope it will fix the slowdown problem.

You can get it here (scroll down and click where it says "blite.zip"):
