the tentacled skull and the alien are completely seperate

I've actually drawn that character alot, and used him for the title screen of a never finished game.

Seems the game is using some weird texture format for translucent textures, so they only show up as yellow garbage when decompressed... anyway this is the first texture replacement I know of, excluding those plugins that load from bitmaps, that's cheating. I'd have used a nicer picture, but the textures are a mere 32x32!

fireball collision is abit off.
if you hit a wall you come to a dead halt.
the music is terrible.
the walk->stop drags you on a few pixels more than it should.

I just saw the trailer and I must say the graphics look amazing. I cannot wait for actual gameplay videos though. If that is what it will look like I just might have to buy a PS3.....unfortunately.
