Could someone tell me how to duplicate the seperate Luigi GFX patch? I'd like to use it on a non-clean ROM and it isn't compatible with Addmusic.

This is the hack that I've dropped a few screens and such of here.

Don't worry, all status bar palette errors have been fixed.

The BGM in level 2-1 seems to not fit the setting though; I'd rather be thinking of either a title screen or a mini game or puzzle level of sorts when hearing it.


I'm assuming hoping you mean 1-1, because I thought the 2-1 music fit pretty well. Its from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time -- the Thwomp Volcano theme. I was going for a rocky theme.

As for 1-1, thats just placeholder music.

I never really put much thought into what I want for Christmas. I usually just ask for money and buy what I want when I see it.

I would want Super Smash Bros. Brawl if they hadn't pushed it back.

Otherwise it looks pretty awesome but I don't like the Overworld.. There's no water ponds or lakes in there.. Just the ocean below. Add some waterfall coming from the very top ledges to a pond on the middle ledge and so on.

Heh, that's the very first version I've made of the OW. Its always under construction. I'll probably add some water eventually.

I saw a video on Youtube w/ones that spit those green cactus things.

BTW, Smkdan made that one. Of course, it doesn't use ant fancy ROM-loading techniques.

It still works fabulously though.

Just for clarification, tracks 11-18 are for the OW, and 20-3F (Hex) are for levels.

There is an excellent tutorial about porting tracks from Midis/creating original tracks here.

It sounds like you've got it working, so I won't explain that.

I screwed up the bonus number graphics

If you want to remove the display because you glitched up the graphics, you could use this to make it display the same digits as the coin/points/etc. counters.

Hit space to go into counter mode, then delete the large bonus star counter field. Underneath it will be one that is 16x8 and uses default digits. (Note: This counter can't be moved)

Also why does small hackers program make my celeron D 347 reach 100% ? I had to exit it because my mobo alarm had went off, and believe me my new mobo and cpu has never ever gone off before.....

You're better off asking Smallhacker about that one...

Just as a note, the english version of addmusic isn't updated to fix a glitch that causes Pow and star music to loop forever. (That is, last time I checked. ) To fix it manually after using addmusic, open your ROM in hex editor and search for the string "1A 09 20 8D FB 1D 9C DA 0D 6B" and change it to "1A 09 20 8D FB 1D 8D DA 0D 6B".

That's crab.asm included with Sprite Tool. You can tweak it so that it can't be jumped, and I can look into palette changing once losing HP.
