Chrono Cross, no matter how you look at it, feels like is simply vaguely using terms and places from Trigger just to get the whole Trigger fanbase to play it. No matter how you look at it. They completely removed the "Chrono" from Cross. There's nothing about time travel in that game, only various vague references to its predecessor. I think most people who disliked Cross do so because they waited 4 years for something like Chrono Trigger 2, and they got Jibber jabber: A (bad) remake of radical dreamers. By Chrono Trigger 2, it could be just like the FF or SD series; another world, another story, another characters, but keep what makes Chrono Chrono.

It took a pretty decent rpg of the early 90s and made it so much more. It is superior in every aspect. Characters, storyline, combat system, music, graphics, etc.
Read up. Also, you can't technically compare graphics. Characters? LOL I'll just not say anything about that. Storyline is, again, a matter of opinion, but still hadn't anything to do with Trigger.

Kirby Dream Course or whatever sucked;
The GBA remake of the first Kirby game sucked. So did the first Kirby game;
Kirby Mirror whatever was Ok at best.
kirby Avalanche does not count for it was just the US version of Puyo Puyo.

I used to think India had elephants instead of cars because of Dhalsim's stage in SF2;
I used to think everyone lived in castles in England because of Cammy's stage in SSF2;
I used to think everyone in China used those Raiden hats (Sakkat in RO) because of Chunli's stage in SF2. I also thought the guy at the back was Raiden;
I used to think Mexico was a nice country because of Thunder Hawk's stage on SSF2 (turns out I was wrong lolol);
I used to (and still do) think Jamaica is just like DeeJay's stage from SSF2;
I had no clue what URSS was back in the day, but I thought everyone lived inside warehouses like in Zangief's stage from SF2;
I never understood how Thailand could be such different places, as seen in Sagat's and Bison's stage in SF2;
I used to think I could see other part of the levels in videogames if I looked at the tv from a different angle (160º or so);
I thought the world was going to end in 1999;
I thought God existed;
I thought Mortal Kombat was real;

Yeah I don't get why people dislike RD. At first it was a letdown for me, but that's because it wasn't translated back then. I wouldn't say the character art is better than Cross, but I'd say that RD is the best game of the Chrono series.

Also Chrono Cross isn't a bad game, but while it rips a bunch of stuff off of Radical Dreamers, it is NOT the same thing, they change a LOT from character look, character personality, and overall plot of the game.
Specially character personality. Serge went from being a kickass guy to retarded I-can't-talk faggot. Shame.
