Here are some screenshots of hack I started working on:

The map system has been replaced to allow more flexibility. I haven't made any changes to the map, so you'll probably recognize the screens.

The status bar looks like crap, but it will be replaced eventually too.


Suddenly, Link's Awakening DX meets Zelda 1.

Though the top of the cliffs bother me.

If I were you I'd figure out some way to disable single-wall wall jumping, because that would essentially make any pit with at least one side completely meaningless.


Even better: make it so each consecutive wall jump launches you up less.

I love this feature over on the MSPA forums, considering they're so active. My slow typing lets me post a reply, and get it rejected because someone went in and ninja'd. Then I get to go and respond to them as well.
