Posted by PSlugworthI dunno, I learned some basic CSS and how to write good CSS/HTML that will pass the W3C compatibility. Of course, I did wind up using it more of a reference than a learning tool rather quickly. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

E3 in itself is disapointing.
The last good E3 was the one with the hilarious Sony conference (GIANT ENEMY CRAB), and then they did the mistake of wanting to downscale the whole thing drastically. :/ ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

It can be said that amongst gamers, while good graphics is a plus we kinda reached a point in evolution where... each step isn't really as large as it used to be.
What I mean is, you can't get away with "Awesome graphics". Also devolopment do not just allow "better graphics". Dwarf Fortress would be a good example of a immersive games that still requires alot of resources. Yet it's graphics looks like a typical roguelike. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Posted by KawaThat's because all HL2 contents come with any Source based game. Portal have support for all HL2 weapons, and you can infact play through HL2 levels with the portal gun and HL2 weapons (although the game's scripted events can bug up if you skip large areas). Supposedly that's so any "Source mods" can use HL2 content freely without worrying that they can't play said mod. Talking about silly stuff done with G-Man... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

So yeah, anyone else been playing this? I think it's allot more intresting in terms of strategy than Freeciv/Civ II/Civ III/Alpha Centauri*/C-evo, but sadly I don't know many people playing it. I really want to try out multiplayer on it sometime. xD
For anyone who played a Civilization type game before, but not Civ IV... I would have to warn you that things aren't really straightforward with terraforming anymore. And while they attempted to reduce micromanagment (such as that any production overflow is added to the next building, instead of being lost), they added a few other aspects to make up for it. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Someone reskinned G-man to look like a TF2 character.
Most found that reskinning scary. xD I hadn't used it yet in a screenshot, but I have it somewhere in Garry's mod... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Mmm, you gotta love compilers.
Hell, I think in Japan "NullPointerException" became a fad... probably after someone was messing with java and was posting about his problem. Apparently it's was some kind of play on words, that I forgot about now. :/ ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

...I never truly got into SMRPG.
Also, Yoshi Island is truly my most favorite SNES game ever. Probably the most platformer ever infact. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Haha, that boxart is priceless. Shows that they have a sense of humor to throw back at the awful box art designs of the early Megaman games. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Not only pathfinding, but the fact that the game is very complex. The game have alot to go through each tick, and by default it runs at 100 ticks per second. In reality this just means anything between 10-30 ticks, depending on the fortress and the computer. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Oh yeah, I had a power outage earlier today. The whole town went pitch black, and it was kinda scary since I didn't have any flash light handy.
Thankfully, the stairs have emergency lights, so I just needed to stumble out to the apartment door and open it to light up my apartment. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Some guy with too much sparetime made this to show relationships between various genres and styles in electronic music. It's mixed with his personal opinion, and there's probably allot of details that people would dispute over but it's quite intresting at whole. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org
