Yeah, use a boot CD or something, scan the drives, take your files off of them, and nuke Vista.
I don't think there's any specific tools to override the boot loader next, and the fact it makes such a thing... well... I'm never ever getting Vista now. |

I believe in scrapping modern systems altogether; if I had my way I'd use the interface from Windows 3.11 combined with an easily accessible DOS terminal, combined with 64-bit operating system power and multithreading.
SP2 has its pros. For someone like me, it's easy to disable and destroy anything which offends me (my Security Console has been told to STFU, for example), although since moving to Windows Server 2003 I don't really have any SP2 to worry about. I just dislike restarting my computer over and over again. It's a waste of time. |

Actually, the trend is to make newer routers cheaper, stupider, and do less.
You might have to buy an old one to get any good quality. Or avoid Linksys. Even better, try using an old computer as a router--it'll kick the arse of any other 'normal' router. |

I'm not sure how hard this would be, but it'd be nice to have Mario Movie back, at least. I'd add it back myself, but, fat chance of me doing that. While this lagtastic theme is good, it can't quite approximate Mario Movie or AE Terror.

I'm definately buying one of those. That's exactly what I want in a portable device; plus I could do some serious wireless IRC with it.
All I'd need is a reasonable way to connect it via GRPS or something... |

Considering I run an SSB themed IRC RPG, I watch this religiously.
I'm still trying to reverse-engineer the battles so I can have people in my game some day be able to fight that quickly. Stupid slow d20-based mess... it's all DnD's fault. |

Why not get a USB dongle? Those are cheap and would most likely store much more data. |
