Since I don't know enough about some of the level's special behaviors, I can't swap levels around, so I'm stuck at level 2. And since I don't know enough about indoor levels, I can't go on with the hack itself. But the editor is still on the workbench...
For those who could finish my demo, you probably noticed that you restart from the beginning of level 1, but with some of level 2 attributes, like music, respawning coordinates, enemy codes, a sudden palette change in the middle, etc. See what I mean? There are still many things that I don't understand fully, some of them may be hard-coded... When I find how enemies work in indoor levels, I think I'll be able to go on with something playable. In the meanwhile, if someone wants to make the editor for another platform, I can help with the necessary data, and source code if needed... |

You should learn how sprites are loaded and displayed on the NES, and learn ASM. When those two are mastered quite well, you should also check if the corresponding PRG bank on the ROM has some free space left...
You must know very well the code that is used to draw the tiles in the warp animation. Then, modify the code accordingly, using some free space as needed... |

We call it Calcul Différentiel and Calcul Intégral...
I'm not sure if there's a term that defines both as an ensemble... |

Good to see you're still in the Zelda II business, Ice Penguin!
I don't like the sky in the intro screen. Do you think you could make a kind of dawn gradient instead of almost night gray? I like the new tiles on the overworld, but there are a little too "pixely" in my opinion. Keep working on the flying sword hack. It's cool, but apparently not perfect... |

What I can observe is that we may have a little less snow than 15 years ago, but it's not that apparent. I feel like we always get approximately the same amount of snow every year, the difference is more in the distribution through winter. Sometimes we get the bulk of it at the beginning, and regular falls the rest of winter. Sometimes we get it almost all in big storms...
The peculiar thing I observed this year (2008) is that we had virtually NO spring. The snow melted in less than a week, and we had at most 2 weeks of noticeable spring coolness, then suddenly, summer temperatures. I don't complain much since spring is the season I dislike the most. But I'm pretty sure it won't happen again in many years... Besides that, nothing unusual. Temperature started to drop gradually, and soon, leaves will start changing colors, and the air will smell like autumn... |

You mean the "30-lives code" ? Mah, it's been some time, anyways... Here:
B A B A B A B A B A Start You'll have only 20 lives, though... I'll integrate a way to change both (code and lives) in my editor eventually, along with many other variables, including some enemy AI... |
