My problem with IE is that it horribly, evilly, and instantly destroys CSS. IE7 fixes this, but then it has its titlebars all screwed up in some sick imitation of Windows Vista. It's hideous, I tell you.

Security? That's the easy part.
Firefox breaks CSS just as badly as IE sometimes. See my previous board layout for examples of that.

The files I tested were all uploaded using the board's attachment feature.
This attachment doesn't work (like all the others in RHRR). Click it and you'll see what I mean.
That's the same thing that happens when you try to use "View image" on someone's avatar on this board. I think it's some sort of quirk in the server; Xk/bh89 will have to clear up exactly what it is.

Well, there were lots of ships over large distances.

Ships have a slow pathfinder.
Is that OpenTTD was taking up 100% of my cpu cycles and being painfully laggy the one time that I tried connecting?

I'd venture to say it's a hacked ROM.

That really should be obvious...

But this IPS demonstrates by far the most interesting feature of sprite EB.

http://24.16.242.145/left.ips
This IPS, when used, crashes the game on selecting 1 Player Game. What version of the SMW ROM did you use to make it?

Regarding the game that's currently going on...

You'll need the latest nightly, along with TTRS 3.02a, to play. It's in the Arctic climate with rather hilly terrain.

Oh, and there are only 20 planes per player, MaxKnight.

Regarding the game that's currently going on... it sucks.

Seriously, are these things even fun anymore?
Not as much as they used to be, really. :\ It comes down to "build a line, wait 24 hours, hope you stay afloat, build another line, wait 24 more hours, build another line..."

This is why I like playing toyland from 2000-2100. It can get silly sometimes, and with taking stuff cross-map with maglevs it's not as hard to stay afloat.

Why bother updating it when you can just slap new graphics on it and call it a day?
The only updates they made were new modes (Columns-style and PdP-style) and a "new, more balanced mode" for original Puzzle Fighter mode.

Though PdP Puzzle Fighter sounds interesting

Excuse my noobness, but what is "tl;dr"? I'm seeing it a lot lately, is it some fad from the time I was gone?
tl;dr is loser for "too long, didn't read"

(note that this refers to people who utilize such acronym for "screw you I'm not reading this", not "short summary version")

tl;dr: it's lame
Using tl;dr for a summary though usually doesn't do anything for the people who use it for saying "I'm not reading what you wrote"

Anyway, I found Acmlm's ROM Hack Domain in 2003 after looking around for Bouché's old board (which I don't remember how I even found his board first ), and stayed for part of '03. I came back once or twice in '04 but didn't realize my account was deleted due to a database wipe (d'oh ) but finally reregged in '05 and stayed from then on.

you know the yellow blocks that turn into yoshi eggs in SMW2?
I was wondering if someone could make that with green eggs that hatch into yoshi's for SMW
Is there any reason at all why you couldn't use the normal ?-block with a Yoshi inside?

I don't mind thunderstorms much, as long as they don't knock out the power. I like being on my compy, and I have a mini-server running on this box.

That said, I taught myself how to program during a week-long power outage due to lack of anything else to do, so I guess it's not all bad.

Week-long power outage?

I've never experienced that, and here, it'd be a slow death for all parties involved
Yeah, a tree fell on the power lines down the street. It cut off power to everyone on the block (possibly farther, I forget) for a week. Thankfully it was late May, so no school nor heat to worry about But yeah, if it had happened in June/July/August it would have been awful.

Typing "Hyper Hacker" would send it as "Hyper%20Hacker".
Which is treated by both backends as "Hyper Hacker" anyway.

But Tinabot and TinaSitter handle "Hyper Hacker" differently.

Tinabot...
"ban 13 Example thing" becomes "ban", "13", "Example thing" (func, param1, param2... this is why most commands are only one or two params long)

TinaSitter...
"func=xxxx&dat1=1111&dat2=yyyy", which is why some (okay, none) functions can accept more than one real "paramater"...
So then would %2520 be interpreted as %20, and if so could that be used as a space character?

Heh, reminds me of teaching myself OpenGL using only a few simple demos and documents that came with SDL when my Internet connection was down for a few days. But where exactly did you get the electricity to run your computer?
I didn't use a computer, I used my mom's TI-82.

Got a golf game running on it in 5 days via messing with the programming functions. Looking back on it I'm not entirely sure how I pulled it off, but I did.

Seriously post counts aren't the big thing when you compare the other differences.
I don't think this can be stressed enough. GameFAQs' boards have mountains of posts daily, but I'd much rather be here than there. Reason? Not just post quality, which in some cases is as poor as "bump this topic just to keep it from being deleted," but because of the people here. This board has more people that I enjoy talking to, both on IRC and on the board itself, than anywhere else. Granted, there are people elsewhere that I know and will talk to; for example, YD and I are still friends despite her posting mostly at what is now ||board. I don't get the injokes (or at least I'm assuming they're injokes) that are frequently posted there, just like some people may not get this board's injokes, and I don't really know enough people there to make my staying and posting worthwhile, thus I don't frequent that board. However, just because I don't post somewhere doesn't mean I hate the place and its members.

Postcounts are one of the little things that can measure a board's activity, but quality (of members, not just posts) beats out quantity by far.
