Guys, guys, guys. Why are you killing yourselves trying to type in reverse? There's an easy way around everything! |

...
The day after tomorrow is going to be awful trying to sort through all the intentionally backwards posts... Only thing that could keep my posts from being readable is if Xk filtered out something from the board, and I don't know if he'll want to do that or not. |

Posted by SinfjotleSilly it may be, but it's April Fool's Day. I'm expecting many other sites online to do similar things today. ...Reminds me, I wonder if there'll be a hack around campus today in its honor? *Ninetales makes a mental note to look around and check sometime later today |

I registered 4 years ago, on March 17, '03, under the moniker of Kamek77. I didn't post much, left for awhile, didn't know the board restarted, and when I finally figured that out, I reregistered and stayed. So I'm kind of a medium-oldbie who wasn't around to know a lot of people from back then (though I do remember hearing and seeing a lot of oldbies' names from then ). |

Posted by KattwahI saw that too Sadly, piles of random objects and floating ledge pieces don't look too good, even in an April Fool's Day hack. In all honesty the other 3 screenshots are almost passable SMW hack screenshots, but the last one kills it for me. I'll pass. |

I haven't touched SMK in sooooooooo long...mainly because of the orbiting points problems you're having. I even unintentionally got half of them following the points in order backwards around the track once, no idea how
But yeah, if the exact limits were known, then I'm guessing we'd definitely be seeing more (and certainly more creative) SMK hacks. Until then I guess it's mainly "Let's see what I can do with this track while hoping I don't break it." |

Does anyone know what the pointertable at 0x2019B is for? It's obviously AI/Lakitu-related, because editing the data pointed to/changing the pointer makes the AI act oddly, and sometimes crashes the game...
Edit: Posted by GlitchCogSwap the corresponding track pointers in both the pointer table at 0x2019B and at 0x201CB and the AI will follow the track that you've changed the pointers to perfectly, starting from the point nearest the starting line of the track you replaced. i.e. change CB 0E at 0x201A9 (pointer for track 07, MC1) to 73 15 (pointer for track 0D, KB1) and change 5A 0F at 0x201D9 (pointer for track 07) to 26 16 (pointer for track 0D) and the CPU racers will turn around and race along the path of Koopa Beach 1. Now if only the format of these second data clumps was known... |

I broke my arm about 6 years ago. It didn't heal straight, so now I've got one arm with a wrist that can't really turn that far and a lump in that forearm. |

Posted by XkeeperNot really; you'd have to check every point between where it is and where it's going though. I think they call that vector movement or somesuch, I forget the actual name. |

Posted by XkeeperThis doesn't determine the location, no, but if the last point isn't directly in front of the finish line some of the computers will drive backwards around the track instead of forwards as they should. It's kind of odd, really. |

Or you could, you know, make an IPS file for anyone to use. Go to Level 105, just like joe's similar IPS below.
Also, here are some pictures of the level: Layer 2 Both layers 1 and 2. Layer 1 only actually consists of that one platform. |

Posted by JeshuaSee the download link in the upper-right corner of the board (in parenthesis, or here if you're lazy)? Copy the contents of the /data/ folder in there to the /data/ folder wherever you've got r9570 set up and make sure you replace any and all files it asks you to. By the way, something (whether it be huge map size or cpu-intensive pathfinders) makes it impossible for me to play on the official server anymore because my cpu usage flatlines at 100% and makes the game unbearably laggy. *Ninetales goes back to playing 0.5.0 on his loltoyland game |

I celebrate two holidays per year: Thanksgiving, and secular Christmas.
All the rest are "Whee this is a holiday but I'm not doing anything special today so meh" days. :\ |
