Cool.

I think M3s and passcards are no longer in production, which I think is stupid because it's the ultimate NDS/GBA flash card I've ever seen.

All I need is something to boot my M3 slot 2, so it doesn't really have to be a passcard as long as it boots up my M3 in DS mode.

I think the connectors on my passcard might be rusted or stained or something.
I tried to clean it with rubbing alcohol but it still doesn't work anymore until like 100 tries.

Well I think the passcard boots up and redirects the DS to slot 2 in DS mode

Just throwing this out there but what if Reuben had a built in ASM editor or something?

They are going to produce them as long as they sell.

Wouldn't maintaining a nigh-constant angle to the display for the parallax barrier to work its magic be a bit of a pain in a handheld scenario, though? I can imagine even using it on a somewhat shaky train would potentially result in blur and headaches.

I still think it's stupid. Really it's a scam to pump out a new DS model every year. They make you buy a new one then they pump out another that you must buy the next year, so they keep a steady line of people buying shit they don't need because it's just going to get replaced next year.
They already topped Gameboy Advanced remakes.

HOWEVER If this 3DS thing pulls through I think it would be pretty revolutionary.

An ASM editor in what regard? Do you mean applying pre-coded ASM hacks to the editor? That'd pretty much be what it'd have to be, otherwise anything less would be just your good ol' plain hex editor...

I *do* know DD mentioned an editor that edits user-specified offsets. Meaning you tell the editor what offset to edit (like for example, Mario's jump height or Mario's starting lives) and you will be able to edit it in the editor from then on.

Well I was thinking it would disassemble your ROM when you open it up and you can read and edit the entire ROM in assembly form. It would be like a hex editor yes but by ASM instead of hex.

I'm not sure where I should put this, but no one goes to PocketHeaven anymore barely, so this is the next place I can think of to ask.

I have SnemulDS 0.6 and the touch screen menu won't work at all besides touching the star and making the bottom screen go black/sound turn off.

It worked before on my 2 gig SD card.

I think the DSi is cool and all but I can't afford to update my DS every year.
I can't even afford to get a new regular DS.

Posted by Gywall

The DSi XL/LL is just a money-printer as such. Only stupid people would buy that if they have the normal DSi.

I guess they can't make up their minds if they either want a very portable console or one where you can see the screens well but wont fit in your pocket.

I'm hoping the touchscreen will be polytouchable like the iphone.
Maybe 2 touch screens instead of 1? Who knows.

Hopefully graphics/processor/memory like the gamecube, because with a 64-esque console there is definitely a terrain and object limitation within the games which makes it hard to make very nice levels like you can on today's consoles. Graphics aren't very important when it comes to everything, but I know that more polygons = more space and objects that can be put in the levels.

And personally I'm having a tough decision on what type of DS I want now.
Should I get a DS lite and stick with my M3 Perfect or
get a DSi and get the SuperCard DSTwo with GBA emulation?

I've been looking forward to the SuperCard DSTwo for a while, too. My DS Phat died a couple months back, so I decided to buy an XL. It's nice and everything, but I've really wanted to try some GBA emulation, and recent hands-on experiences with the SC2 show that the GBA emulator is basically the same one found in the iPlayer, which isn't exactly the most compatible thing.

I'd stick with the Lite if I were you. There are plenty of Slot 2 options for GBA out there for ya.

I forgot to ask if it works on DS lite lol.

What is the best slot 2 device out there now? M3 is out of production which is STUPIDDDDD!
I'd like a Slot 2 that uses SDHC cards or something.

I have a program that edits title screens for SMB and can change the palette too.

I have that too, but I can't read Japanese. I only wished there was an English version of it

It's not too hard to find out what is what when you mess around with it for a while.

Since a lot of you are ROM hackers, I'm wondering if you ever heard of this program? Anybody else use it?

It's a Zelda 1 simulator where you can make your own quests, so it's essentially like hacking Zelda 1 but 1000 times better.

Well it's evolved to where you can script now, and other stuff as well.
Not trying to advertise but it's pretty fun and just think you guys would be into something like that, and maybe some of you already are.

There's stupid Kid Icarus but no StarTropics?
Then again they'd probably make it into some anime looking game if they brought it back.
