This has honestly got to be the worst decade of music.
I mean come on. Pop Punk? Metalcore? Fall Out Boy? Atreyu?

No thank you. I think the 90's, because that's when my favorite type of music started, Melodic Death Metal, but honestly, modern MDM isn't as good as it was in the 90's.

00's is the time of a simplistic and catchy format of music, and I got sick of it quickly. People are sick of nu metal for a reason, it's repeatative, so it got old fast. There ARE some modern bands/music I like though...

Well don't let me get you down on what ever I like, but that's my opinion.

Define bands that are Death Metal.

I have a huge variety of musical taste but I preffer metal music today and some rock.

In Flames is probably my favorite band even though their new stuff sucks, their latest album is freaking horrible.

I'm a big Melodic Death Metal fan, but I can't stand metalcore or deathcore. I guess it's just that I don't like hardcore music.

I'll listen to anything if it has it's beauty and talent.

That'd be kinda wrong for me, cause I feel that the newer music is just plain shit. And I'm 15. So yeah.

Definetely 70-80s to me... I'll put 70s. Awesome classic rock bands, good lyrics. And it's actually MUSIC, with SINGING. Not someone talking about ganking some ho, or screaming into a mike. Boston, the Eagles, Styx... perfect musical goodness.

Except for the screaming part.

Death growls take talent. Sometimes they can sound forced, or bad. Some fit the style of music. It compliments the brutality of the song.

But there is some screaming I can't take. For instance, metalcore vocalists all sound like 20 year old emos yelling at their dads. Atreyu is an example. He sounds like a wimp.

It is all in the execution of the scream/growl.

I'd rather hear some brutal vocals than some fall out boy high pitched emo vocals.

There are death metal vocalists that can sing.

Example is Dark Tranquillity's Mikael Stanne in Misery's Crown:


Man do you hear that voice? That's how a guy should sing.

So, I've been drinking cranberry juice for quite some time.
My mom brings home a case of Sierra Mist, and I get this idea to mix Sierra Mist with my Cranberry Juice.

Next thing I know, I go to walmart and see a pack of Cranberry Sierra Mist.

I also predict that deathcore fans will come to a realization that they're listening to the worst kind of metal ever, soon.
