I'm one of the few whites who enjoy a good drumstick every now and then. It's a good food regardless of your skin color.

Also, didn't see Kawa mention anything in the thread about it. Didn't check IRC though.

Do yourself a favor, go to Walmart and pick yourself up a bag. They're around 2 bucks for a good sized bag. They're so damn addicting; my mouth is watering just thinking about them.

Well, fried chicken in general is what I was aiming for. Doesn't have to be KFC. Either way, it's a great picnic meal (among many) and should be included in the basket.

You know what's excellent? Those steamable bags of vegetables/pasta that you stick in the microwave for like three or four minutes and it comes out tasting like the freshest produce/pasta ever.

So I haven't dealt with an airliner via the normal means (free flights due to being employed by an airliner prior to my current job) but I am planning a trip to Phoenix, AZ from Salt Lake City, UT. I'll be leaving 12/24 and coming back 12/31. I am just unfamiliar with how it all works, so I'm turning to board2 denizens who have flown before.

So, I'm getting ready to purchase an airfare rather soon for the itinerary I specified and wanted to be absolutely sure I will be satisfied. What is your favorite airliner? Any good/bad experiences you'd like to share?

I think that's definitely sound advice. I won't be bringing much with me, so I doubt I'd have more than what would fit under the seat in front of me.

I also think it's going to be insane given it's Christmas Eve and a ton of people will be flying.

Probably one of these two.

I've looked and looked, and the lowest I've found is about $267 after taxes. And I will only be carrying a small bag for carry on. Nothing large. (Will adjust packing accordingly if what guidelines online read differently, as blackhole suggests they might be more strict than I perceive)

Not really, since I'm not planning on bringing my bedroom with me. I'm not taking my computer, toiletries, DS, or anything like that. I'm bringing my phone, a charger, a couple changes of clothes, an extra pair of shoes, and if possible a couple of small gifts for Christmas. And I've just checked: I'll have a dimensions limit of 22" x 14" x 9" and a 40lb weight limit. More than enough for me.

I read about this a while back (say a few days) and I was thoroughly impressed with it. I'm sure the only difference is the approach. I hope scientists continue to focus on obtaining the answer needed through whatever means, even if it questions their own ego. But then they wouldn't be true scientists if they let ego get in the way, would they? Kudos to everyone involved.

Where do you get this stuff? I'd be willing to try it out. I've yet to find an asian food importer where I live yet. There was this amazing Japanese shop that always made me smile every single time I walked in; I always find what I want. Even the spicy stuff.

All this food posting is making me almost drown in my own drool. But I haven't got room for spending; all I have are future emergency funds. :/

But... Oh... SUSHI. And plum rice balls. Mmmmm.............

There's a small Japanese market that prepares authentic lunches inside a circle-k sized place. They sell random Japanese groceries and freshly made food. Amongst them is the rice balls; one of them being plum. It's a salty plum sauce that's put in the middle, but is just absolutely packed with flavor. Amazing stuff.

I prefer those supermarket trays. Because I don't really like paying a high price-per-ounce for food, and sushi is usually far above my limit. However, it's a nice treat once in a while; but I honestly can't remember when I had proper sushi at a restaurant.

Get a dynamite handroll or something if you can find it at an actual restaurant.

Eel is also good.
Dynamite handroll? Sounds like some shitty taliban's failed attempt to make a bomb, and the handroll is the bandaged result.

So i'm going to the supermarket and I'm going to get ingredients for some simple yet amazing sandwiches. What do you guys like?

I usually put lunchmeat (ham, beef, turkey, etc) deli meat, alfalfa sprouts, american cheese (or if I have it, Jarlsberg cheese), and avocado, with a little bit of mayonnaise.

I also enjoy egg salad sandwiches, as well as turkey sandwiches (turkey/mayo mixture).
