On one hand, I hate it when you need external crap to run your editors. On the other, it's a privilege to have editors in the first place, and you shouldn't complain if it takes you another 10 minutes to grab something else needed to start your hex-free hacking.

I agree, but I once made an SMB3 level in pure hex once, that was... humbling, to say the least. When you need to set something up in a special way (like freeing up space, say, moving a room in Super Metroid so you can make it bigger) you'd need to point to somewhere else in the rom and SMILE at the time didn't offer that feature.

Other than that, if there is an editor for something you are currently doing in hex, it's probably a great idea to grab it since you're greatly reducing redundant work.

I can't imagine hacking pokemon in hex...

I do not envy you... however, I've never in my life been constipated. Ever. I don't know what it's like, and will consider your experience the closest I've ever come to being constipated. I hope it stays this way... Chicken broth for lunch doesn't sound very appetising.

It's strange this thread is here, actually. I did some typesetting for one of my customers recently that outlined this exact same process... weird.

I wonder how much nasty 10 year old shit is in my ass.

Lenina, do you have a laptop? Or at least a gaming device? Ask someone to buy you a nice soft toilet seat cover and just take one of those over to the throne and hang out in there.

I found the old Acmlm main site way back when it just barely first started. It was only then when I discovered ROMs and Emulators, so I began to google it. I had dialup (14.4k mind you) back then, and I had to ask my parents to get on.

Ever since then, I mostly migrated with this community, from one incarnation to another, lurking, posting once in a while... This went on for a bit until recently (2 years in this case) exciting stuff started to happen and became much more involved.

If something sucks, and it currently sucks because it has nothing going for it anyway, why shoot the idea down? First you've got the ROM-Hacking community, then you've got the ROM-Hacking community with this idea. It's now more than it was before, and not less because the idea doesn't detract from the community if you just decide to steer clear from it.

I find it somewhat similar to this board in terms of its features...

This world has gone to shit. And I'm being optimistic here. This shows some of the more rancid parts of it...

Now, I'm not too big on gore, so I didn't watch the video, but I did read the article, and that sure as hell doesn't amaze me at all. Stuff like this goes on every single day, this particular act was recorded and released to the public.

The totality of humanity *is* trash. The bad outweighs the good, and that's an understatement. That's like trying to put Rosie O'Donnell on one side of the scale and.. maybe... a Bic Pen on the other.

My tutorial is buried about a 100 posts deep.

I know I've been MIA for a while, but I'd like to continue on with making more guides. Since I haven't been making any SMRPG hacks lately, I don't know what all is needed as far as guides go, so I thought I'd throw it all out to the userbase to request them. They may or may not be worked on, and I'll work on them with my own discretion. I'd also need an update to the binary I have, I'd guess that by now it's pretty outdated. Who wants guides for an extremely outdated version?

Edit: Renamed the thread. It's been unveiled for quite some time lately.

Start Digging. The general idea is the same, but I don't have an up-to-date version, so it may be obsolete by now...

Do you mean 100 posts into THIS topic, or another topic?
Seeing as I never really said anything about another topic, you'd think it was 100 posts deep in *this* topic. Do me a favor, before going through the trouble to post to ask a question like this, go actually *look* for it and answer the question yourself.

I already smell a wave of n00bz on the rise... I only hope to get admin'd before then...

My point: Keep the IQ level up above 80 in here, please.

Yeah KP, major fucking over reaction. Learn to fucking deal with a problem. Not everyone has your superior God like knowledge of the exact location of any post in this thread.

Elementalpowerstar: KP9000 does not represent the opinions and thoughts of board2.
Yet, I'm staff? Look, guys, all I was asking for was to keep your brains out of your pockets. If you don't like it, don't post here. End of story.

Everyone back to the thread, now.

Due to a combination of our proximity to the Lazy Shell editor/Flagship hack release and the apparent drama, I'm going to close this thread.

Any new threads that are directly related to Lazy Shell and its hack will be immediately shot down and trashed.
