Let see

The other board is Communist China, and we're Taiwan.

Ahh... You took my analogy.

And it was so perfect too.

Whatever you decide to write about, give it a surprise ending.

Yeah, he did it again, but I've seen people who have more trouble with English as a first language.

I'm glad I turned down my computer speed before that fully loaded

How did you do that?

The only shows I really watch regularly are The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, MythBusters, The O'Reilly Factor and, on the rare occasion they make new episodes, 30 days, and NOVA.

I also record a bunch of other shows, but I normally delete them before I get around to watching them.

These don't really fall into the category of my "Favorite Shows" (except maybe NOVA), but all my favorite shows went off the air a long time ago.

I have several.

The one I'm using now I just got about a month ago:

Athlon X2 5200+
Radeon X1950 XTX with 512MB ram
250GB Sata drive
2GB 800Mhz ram
20x DVD burner

It's also got a ridiculously old IBM mouse and keyboard, bulky 19" CRT monitor and a floppy drive I took off the carcass of another computer (although I just got a new one with built in flash card readers I just have to install it). It's running Windows Server 2003 x64. It also has Windows Vista Ultimate installed, but it isn't working. Eventually when I get the time and ambition I'll install Fedora, Ubuntu, Windows 2000, and make an attempt at Mac OS X.

Under my TV I have a computer that I've had for about a year and a half now:

Sempron 2800+
512MB PC2100 ram
160GB hard drive
2 TV tuners
Extra sound card (beside the onboard)

It's running Knoppix, and MythTV. I made a custom case for it. I have pictures, maybe I'll post them some time (probably not).

I also have a laptop I got about three years ago, that used to be my main computer until I got this one (now it just sits in the corner blinking):

1.8ghz Athlon
512MB PC2100 ram
Airlink pcmcia 802.11g card

It has some sort of mobile Radeon but its a good five feet away, and I can't be bothered to go check exactly what model. It's running Windows Server 2003, with Windows 2000 installed as a backup.

I'm not done yet. I also have a file server:

Intel Celeron 2.26ghz (Only Intel I own)
196MB of PC2700 ram
4 250GB Sata drives (On a raid controller, but I haven't set one up)
1 250GB IDE drive
No keyboard, mouse, or monitor

If you can't guess this thing is mainly for storage. It's running Windows Server 2003.

I also have a 1.6ghz Duron system I turned into a game console with thousands of roms built in. It's running Windows XP Jacked, with a custom gamepad controlled interface (written in Perl, believe it or not), and custom case. I'm going to give it to my sister.

In case you can't tell, I'm a huge nerd. Actually you probably stopped reading a paragraph in.

Got it for £50, second hand last year.

NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600XT
DVD-R/RW
AMD Athlon XP 2800+
Soundblaster Audigy

2.09 Ghz
768MB RAM

Pretty good for £50.

And I've also got a 21inch LG LCD monitor, which cost me £120.

Wow, did you meet a crackhead?

I've had a guitar for about a year. Every now and then I pick it up and try playing, but I haven't really got anywhere. I think it my "If first you don't succeed, get frustrated and give up", mentality. My main problem is holding down the frets, I don't have any problem when I go slow, but as soon as I try to speed up, I start getting dull thunks instead of notes.

My initials are MC. My username is emcee.

I've used it for the last 9 years, since I first got online with my WebTv.

Alastor calling other people insulting and condescending...

Anyway, I like both boards. This one has more real content, but that one's funnier.

I wonder what it says about me that I read the title of this thread and immediately think of executions.

A bowl of chili.
