Nice sprites, most of the credit should go to the creator whomever they are.

Just thought of an I idea, when most of the SMB. 3 sprites have been created someone should get full permission to use them and create a SMB. 3 remake.

Then again, its just only an idea.

Look forward to seeing some more and yes I know some of the creators are a touchy on sprite distribution.

I have used Boss Bass in a classic SMB. 3 Water themed level without the stage moving up and down.



I apologise for the graphics' palette and anything else.

I have had a few attempts of setting it up and I have failed.
Although, I do have the GFX set up in a ExGFX which I am using for a SMB. 3 themed level and the animation ExGFX as well.

Any help on this please? As Demo World doesn't have any offsets in the ExAnimation prompt for these. (as you already know)

Edit: I actually got somewhere last night with this. Although, its fine in Lunar Magic but when the game is actually played the ExAimation goes all funny as in it flicks back and forth between the SMB. 3 Bricks and the SMW Question Block.

Please how do I sort this out?

mikeyk, nice work bringing back the original concept from SMB. 2 regarding birdo and the egg. Just need some HP and to disable jumping on it so you can stand on its head.

lwares: What did you mean that the tilemap is wrong? Did you use the Gfx file that is included? This is from my original post: "The only down side is that the egg now takes up 2 tiles in the gfx file, and they so happen to be the tiles that the Ninji usually occupies. This can't really be avoided."
I edited the Giant Shyguy ExGFX which I had already in place in my hack.

This is what the default tilemap looks like:




And this is what my adjusted tilemap looks like:




Any thoughts?

Edit: My apologies mikeyk, I just had a look at your tilemap and it covers where a part of where the giant shyguy should be. Any chance of having the ASM code to have the egg which is fired from birdo to share the same tilemap as the egg throwing block in the place where the egg used to be in your adjusted ExGFX please? Also, can you include what part should be overwritten.

With the current release of sprite tool, the egg, when carried, cannot be remapped. I would recommend that you remap the giant shy guy instead. Or wait until I get the desire to improve sprite tool -- who knows when that will be
Okay then, instead can I have the ASM code to remap the top right of the giant shyguy to where the egg used to be? (which at least will have to do for now)

Could someone please make the Three different incarnations of Birdo from SMB. 2 with a HP of 3, drops a goal orb when defeated, can be ridden on and spits the following:

pink - only carryable eggs
red - both carryable eggs and fireballs
green - only fireballs


If I'm incorrect let me know!

Edit: or you could just supply us a code which gives a custom sprite characteristics like in SMB. 2 and a code which enables us to carry a giant koopa's shell.

Will this be added/changed as part of the next release or is it avalibale to test today? If so can you post a new version of the egg asm which the tilemap is set as $8C when it is picked up and thrown. The rest regarding the tilemap of the egg when birdo spits it out I can deal with myself.

For those who haven't SMB. 3 Bowser in Action in "Brutal Mario" should know that he isn't perfectly accurate like his counterpart in the game and also uses several sprites.

When using outside of "Brutal Mario" he does not break the block (depending on what type) on direct contact.

mikeyk, didn't the giant koopas have an extra setting where they can be set as para-giant koopas? could you sort it out please or is this due to Japanesse custom sprite distribution issues?

Edit: Just had a look at the ASM code it looks like its you own creation, Sorry.
