I use a Shitpaq, gtfo.
Besides, HP/Compaq merged. When they did that, their systems started getting a fuckload better. If you want bad, get a Dell. May not be too terrible for you now but you should know that the definition of Dell is PROPRIETARY. Godforbid you need a part for a Dell laptop. |

Current standing record on my Winamp is 727 minutes of 'Final Fantasy VII - Cait Sith's Theme'. The only reason -that- happened is because I left Winamp on and forgot about it.
Generally, I'll get bored of the BGM of something within about an hour or so...sometimes two. |

The only thing I've really begun to hate about anything are some of the miniTowers that we sell at RS. Sure they have good specs and are at a -very- reasonable price for the tower, mouse and keyboard (250GB Hard, 1.0GB RAM, AMD 3600+) but they have no possible way of expansion unless they have SMAAAAAALL PCI slots. One Acer that retails for 500 dollars doesn't even -have- slots. |

I almost considered getting a 500gig external on my POS but...a 160 was more than enough considering the only thing I had otherwise was a 60.
Besides, it was for broadband...and I never got that. I'm lucky to use 50 gigs total space right now as it is. |

Oh, you're about right. I've had to bitch and complain to get laptops, PC, hard drives and [gasp] sticks of -512MB- RAM in my store. We had gig strips at a time but those Kingstons are on recall due to shorting easily. It's really a matter of the associates there enquiring to get it from the stores or the Fort Worth office.
Guess how much bitching I usually do daily? |

2 GB DDR off a mobo that runs a 1GHz comp? What kind of PC-ratings are on those strips? Hell I can't even -find- PC-100 strips without having to put it on special order and even then they're pricey as hell and run way slower than today's strips. |

Sides, it wasn't ever an age thing more than maturity. Oh, and Kernal, I have a feeling that you'd probably be over-paranoid and try to overkill at being a perfectionist like I did getting out of high school under parents that did generally the same thing (except they divorced) so I'll keep the advice simple: do well at what you want to do and don't really worry about what anyone has to say about it. If you think too much about what your father has to say and not enough about -why- you're doing it, school, university and whatever won't mean dick. I'd agree with X that, by being in such an environment, that'd probably be difficult as hell...but you might want to think about that as best you can. If it gets you something, do it. Otherwise, don't think too much on it. |

Got through about half of the sixteenth chapter last time. I have a feeling where I want it to draw into with the next few.
I didn't say a few days ago but I did updated that movelist, now 3.01, slightly. There were a few things I needed to change. It's not entirely done yet but it's a good start. I may get Chapter 16 done and out by this week. I'm not sure yet. I've got about 8 or so pages written thus far and I've only got two out of the four things I've wanted to hit on done. |

Yea...
That would be an overlay of blue with a layer that had a Patchwork effect (at least I think that's what it's called in Photoshop) with a text layer on top of that. I've done things similar years ago. 
|\/|4|)3 4 |\/|3 2004 (C) Total skill needed to do that was about the skill necessary for me to type all of that in one sentence. Kinda looks a bit odd with the patch effect on top of it, too. It could've blended in a bit better but eh...you're the one that said you made it in five. |
