Alright, I've been using Windows since 95 first came out, I've also had the pleasure of using 98, Millennium Edition (aka the best virus software Microsoft ever wrote), XP, to an extent, Vista, and now 7.

I liked 7 a lot at first, but in all honesty I am starting to hate it, atleast when Millennium Edition blue screen'd you had a very high chance of being able to go back to what you were doing. Unlike XP and beyond where when you Blue Screen your computer reboots...

Now then, I've noticed one thing that seems to be related with these crashes, for the most part they happen when I have Fire Fox open. I don't know if it's the cause or if it's other software I have installed. I am running Windows 7 Home Ultimate, I think, I know it's 64bit. I don't know what the problem is but for a while now I've been having crashes left and right and freezing, and my sister is having the same issues, but all of her problems end up being blue screens. Mine end up being my computer just randomly freezing like it's Gamefreak's way of trying to keep people from pirating...

The latest installation I've had on my computer has been Media Player Classic, which was recommended by /a/, along with some codecs to make it run well. I downloaded them from the makers sites and not from a download from /a/ because god knows what you could pick up from any anonymous source on the internet. Though last time I installed something recommended by 4Chan I was having the same issues, I downloaded a 4Chan add on that allowed you to hide threads and what not and I experienced a lot of crashes then. Though it was nice to be able to filter out junk I didn't want to see.

Should it persist I will uninstall the codecs and media player classic. I've had at least four crashes in a 24 hour time span. The only other thing I've downloaded and installed has been Vocaloid2, and I was getting crashes well before installing that, I think it's Media Player Classic and the codecs from the community codec pack thing.

One wall of text later...

tl;dr Is Windows 7 causing crashes and other related stuff on my computer or is it the software I have installed?

If you ask me hacking=replacing existing stuff in a game with new content by physically changing the game.

Modding= adding new content to a game that is separate from the actual game's engine.

Still can't beat Megaman 9's final Wily boss, it's kind of a bummer that they decided to go with tradition and make you play all the castle bosses... not that I ever really had a problem with that, but the fortress bosses in 9 are kind of unfair... Also Megaman 10. I'm also playing Paper Mario, I gave up on Super Mario 64, I just don't like the game enough to finish, I just watched an LP of it. I also have Kirby 64, and I try to 100% every game I play if applicable... I can't find some of the shards so I haven't touched the game in a while... OOT, Majora's Mask... got lost in OOT, I wanted to beat OOT before MM, but still... I also haven't beaten Metroid Prime, Super Metroid (though partially since perfectionist, though I could just be saying that because I got lost ;-; ) I also haven't beaten a few other games... I am quite capable, I beat Mario the lost levels... I think I used infinite lives though... I might go back, I dunno the engine is kind of iffy.

Hmmm.... anything else worth mentioning?... Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is on my list after Paper Mario obviously... Super Mario RPG was being played but I've gotten side tracked by school mostly. I've never beaten a lot of games, but some just aren't that good to me... so why bother? I'll finish them all some day, I mean I spent money on Mario 64... oh I also haven't finished the original Legend of Zelda, or the NES and SNES games for those... It took me a while to finally sit down and 100% Super Mario World... but I did it eventually. Not like I hadn't beaten the game before.

Any more walls of text before I go? I think Super Mario Galaxy needs to be completed... Resident Evil 4... this list is getting way too long I better stop...

Well, never mind that issue. I'm getting a new motherboard and a new wireless card. The only new issue I have now is my battery wont charge.
