I've not played TOO much of the game, so I may be ignorant in this statement:

What would really increase the potential of this game would be so ASM hacks so that the camera actually follows the player all the time, to make it so you don't die by scrolling the map too high.

Not really related to this editor, although it would be a helluva option to include, hah.

You should have a magic wand option, I think. I'm not really sure about PaintShop Pro, but Photoshop has it, at least.

Anyways, this Magic Wand option selects all of one color. There would be a tolerance option too, which should be at 0.

Anyways, select all of one color from Mario's cape, and then hold down shift while you select the other colors of his cape.

Assuming that the cape doesn't share any colors that are on Mario himself, you can just select all the colors on his cape, and then hit Delete.

Then again, I'm kinda making this hypothetical, seeing as how I'm talking about Photoshop, and rambling at that.

Judging from what I've seen in the video DD, I think that the sword should do more damage, or be like twice as long.

Seriously though, I think what you've got done now is awesome, but the game is going to be impossible and annoying if you have to run around with that butter knife the entire game, struggling to do damage to anything.
