So are you saying the SELECT button is still enabled during the "ERASE?" mode? |

If you can, send me a video, and yes send me the save files, and what I need to do in order to trigger this myself. |

Alright I'll check this out tonight. Now tell me exactly what I need to do, in order for this to trigger on my end, because this has never happened on my end. Thanks for the file and video. |

Ok I was able to recreate the Luigi glitch on 2J. I definitely found an incorrect BEQ. I fixed it, and it seems to have fixed File D.
Mario 1 I took a look at. For some reason the register that let's you use the B button to choose a selected stage is getting cleared. I'll keep checking. EDIT Uploaded 4-12-17. Hoping for good results. Mario 1 & 2J should be all set now. |

If you are referring to the B button world select glitch, then yup that's fixed too with this release. :-) |

Yeah that was pretty awful to look at. Can happen anywhere unfortunately. But a huge thank you to all the admins who take care of this site. :-) |

Nothing to do with a character jumping. It's the irq within Mario 3 that fluctuates "jumps" everytime a dpcm sample is played. I need to still purchase a flash writer for myself to debug this. When I'm able to do that, I'll try to fix the irq for cartridges, and if I become successful, I will release a standalone version specifically for cartridge use.
The MMC5 via emulation has the irq working great. But the conversion from MMC3 to MMC5 is not so good on an authentic MMC5 mapper chip, so I need to do this myself, but I need $'s for the flasher. |

It's gotta be done on my end. I have to heavily modify the game on order to do the debug, and I'd much rather be the one doing it in real time. I appreciate the offer and the drive you've been demonstrating in wanting this done, but it'll be much easier from me if I'm the one debugging it. It's not like beta testing a level, lot more to it with what I need to do. |

4-23-17 Uploaded
I was able to duplicate this error. It was all because of the Save & Continue function. When you save before beating the game, and the game reloads to the title screen, and then you use the B button to cycle worlds, what would happen is my loading routine would kick in, and load from the sram the saved values and insert them into the ram registers. So when you press B at Princess Toadstool, the game never saves, it just goes right back to the title screen. So this explains the strange values for worlds like 2-5, cause the ram register on the tile screen was getting the previously saved registers, before you defeated the game. So to fix this, I created an automatic save function once you press the B button at Princess Toadstool. So this should finally fix the issue. I was able to watch in real time how this error occurred, and after my additional code, I no longer saw it happen.

ugh im getting really burnt out with this game...
how is this possible? you are not using a previously created SRAM file are you? You started this completely fresh from the start? Please be as specific as possible, did you save continue? did you save quit? did you do either of those in the 8-4 castle, or did you do this during the cutscene with Princess Toadstool? When pressing B did it actually cycle through the entire world id's? I just again put up a new one that fixes Mario's power up state when pressing B on the title screen to select a world. Say you saved last as big Mario, then you are small, then you save Princess Toadstool and press B. The title screen comes on and you are small as you are supposed to be, but when you press B, it'll load the last saved value of his power up state, so he would instantly turn into Big Mario. So I fixed that when you press B to restart the game. |

Ok great cause I was about to lose my mind if all that didn't fix it, heh. Thank you for being so thorough.
Yes it is normal for the save menu to pop up during the princess cutscene, since you are able to pause regularly during that in the original game. I honestly don't feel like creating more code to cancel that out during that scene, but as long as everything is working, I am content. :-) |

Thanks everyone. :-) Yeah way more interesting and challenging, I can't tear through 4-1 like I used to.
In regards to SMB2J, it's the exact same code that is switched around, so how Lakitu functions now in SMB, is the exact same in SMB2J. |

I like PKstarship's idea. I forget the mapper that utilizes larger ROM support though. |

hmm, curious cause aren't there like 25 in 1 or 50 in 1 games, that have various mapper titles on them? I swear I've seen all 3 Mario Bros on one of those, and the rom size was, I think, close to 8mb. |
