Yeah it can be a pain in the ass to get working. Honestly I've never used a go controller (wired or wavebird) I've always used a wiimote. But I only have the WiiU, I used to use the vWii but now I use the WiiU instead.

Really sorry but if you are going to play my mmc5 games on the Wii, you will get the correct results only with nestopia.

Wish there was more I could do, maybe checkout the site "gbatemp" and look around for retroarch wii faqs.

No idea on an eta. I've sent multiple emails with no response, I'm assuming somethings up on his end.

Try doing research on the controllers allowed for retroarch. Idk what you use for a loader, but I use WiiFlow master mod. It has retroarch implemented in it, as well as the cores (emulated systems)

I've created another update, pretty happy with how it's turning out. Hoping to release it within the next couple days.

Oh wow, being able to switch characters in mid-game?! That sounds like an awesome feature! Would that still count towards the registers that deal with how many times you selected that specific character? Good luck if you implement that feature, sounds very cool!

I'm actually working on a new method, been doing so the last week with whatever free time I've scrounged up. Results are finally progressing nicely, taking longer than anticipated since I designed everything around only 4 games.

I'll explain in greater detail when I release the new version, but wanted to address your comment first since it's the main thing I'm working on. :-)

Yes I discovered that glitch with my menu and it's resolved. You were close, it was an incorrect bankswap, however it was a prg bank misswap.

I'll consider the high score being retained and restored.

:-)

Already had to release another update today. (march 4th) When erasing any saved game, the ERASE? text isn't fully removed, this was because I've added an extra letter to the routine. Originally it was "SURE?" now it's "ERASE?" I had the vram routine correct when selecting NO. But when selecting YES, the first letter E would remain on the screen. So this has now been taken care of.

Also I have spruced up, and did some maintenance to the main page.

If others wish to modify my work, and create their own patches then go for it. :-) But I'm officially done with All Stars now.

I'll take a look this morning. I think I know the problem, deals with controller pushbits being carried over from the game selection, to the Mario bros title screen.

Do me a favor, as quickly as you can, simply tap the start button, if you are then able to make selections via the title screen, then that is what the problem is, and I'll work on a new version today.

Has to be pushbit related, I'll look at it today.

UPDATE

Version 3-5-17 has been uploaded. Ive added a timer counter once you select Mario Bros. to allow the controller push bit to reset itself, so that you are not forced to bypass the title screen selections.

Mario Bros. & Mario Bros. Classic do not have 2 separate push bit registers. Think of it like this. In super Mario bros, the longer you hold the A button down, the further Mario jumps. This is a pushbit register that is logging a button held down consistently. The Mario Bros. game does not have an additional pushbit register, that indicates what WAS just pressed, and clears itself. So when you holding down the start button from All-Stars into Mario Bros. there is not enough time for the button to release itself, before the Mario Bros. controller asm kicks on, thus, seeing the pushbit register activated, and then skips the title screen.

For a better understanding, launch the original rom of Mario Bros. hold down start while booting the rom, and you will see what I mean.

So I'm giving the user a short window to let go of the start button before the game loads, if the user continues to hold the start button down after the All-Stars game selection of Mario Bros. then you will definitely bypass the title screen.

redownload the version here on acmlm, there was a 2nd update earlier today.

I just played my game, the PHASE 1 disappears on its own. And the pause menu and exit routine all work correctly.

My name is nowhere located within my project, other than my introduction screen. I would like my name to be present showcasing my hard work. It's one thing for others to take what I've done and expand it further, but to take my name out of my work? I'm sorry but that rubs me the wrong way, people know who Mario is and who created him. So I ask if there are any patches with my name removed, to be taken down. I'm not going to get into debates on repos. If you personally build a cart for yourself and want the Nintendo logo then fine, but that's not fair to me for the work that I have done and willingly wish to share to the public. I do not ask for much or for anything, but I would appreciate it for my name to remain on my romhack, and that goes for any of my romhacks too. And one last thing, this All-Stars project was all done from SCRATCH . This is not some pirate dump from snes to nes, this took years of work to get it fine tuned to how it is today. So again, I'd very much like for my name to remain present on the non paid work that I do.

Also, you mentioned your intentions was for Nintendo to get credit. All 5 games retain the Nintendo name, copyright, and year(s), on each of their title screens.

I have already submitted a request to "romhacking.net" to remove any and all unauthorized patches of my work, which have my name either removed or replaced.

Can someone confirm if World 7-1 in Mario 2 USA repeats itself? I got a report of a user unable to bypass 7-1, leaving that game unbeatable.

OK so warping is good, thank you.

If anyone is willing to do a playthorugh to 7-1, that would help out alot.

For starters, never lose this. It's all the opcodes for the 6502. I live by this everytime I forget a rare opcode I need to utilize. Bookmark it.
