Tonight I'll be releasing yet another revision, but it's a very important one. I'll explain and submit the patch when I'm home. |

Not sure I understand your question, heh. I have the patch in the acmlm uploader, if that's what your asking. |

Deals with controller 2.
There are 2 hidden features (aside from the Up+Start) that are used by the 2nd controller. If you are asm savy, look for the ram register that controller 2 uses to output the pushbits bring activated. Then search the "rom" for (LDA$ ##) That's as far as I'll go lol! I'm really surprised nothing has surfaced publicly after all these years. Good hunting. |

I don't know how to do that over there, it's always been confusing to me. I've basically been relying on others to inform/upload my patches to that site.
I even tried recently updating the description of my game, to show that it requires 32kb of sram, not 8kb, but it never changed over. So it's out of my hands unfortunately, I love that site, but for uploading it has always been a hassle for me. |

Mario world by itself is over 700kb. It will not fit into my project. The mmc5 maxes out at 1024kb for both prg, and chr, brining the total size of the rom to 2mb. I had no plans or desire to incorporate that pirate hack. However, people are more than welcome to try, but I'm just giving a heads up that it will not work, simply not enough prg-rom left after all my installations.
also, a new version will be released again, i discovered an error with my deletion asm for the 4 save files for the 4 games, it's fixed now, I just need to get around to uploading the new patch. |

My all Stars rom works on Famicom and Nintendo.
You need an mmc5 board that supports 32kb's of sram, you need a 1mb chip for prg-rom, and another 1mb chip for chr-rom. As to the actual flashing of the chips, soldering, etc, that's out of my hands, I have no idea how it's done. But there have been plenty of people who taken my all-stars project, and created cartridges of it. |

heh, I'm farrrrrrrrr from the greatest, but I appreciate your kind remarks. :-) I'm waiting on results from someone with my debug version of Mario 3's irq. That's the only thing left before I submit my new patch.
Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan, I do not have separate. I did alot of work on this game specifically for the MMC5. I utilize the ExRAM $5C00-$5FFF for various functions to work. |

I have no plans to go back to this game. I've always wanted 3 save slots in my game. For those that wish to edit my work themselves, to include only 1 save file, it will take someone with 6502 knowledge. Using the FCEUX debugger, goto the registration screen, run the code data logger, open the her editor and search for string values "2901" or "2902" I forget what my pushbit registers are. When you search for those and they are gold/yellow colored, then that's where you want to be. Those are the checks for if left or right have been pressed. You will have to either bypass this routine with a simple JMP, or NOP out my pushbit checks. I honestly can't remember if I reuse that function, but I believe I dont. Anyway, you need to bypass that routine, so that you are unable to cycle through the files. |

Just wanted to give an update. I've made a very significant modification to Super Mario Bros. I'll be more detailed when I release the new patch, I'm still waiting on confirmation for a debug result to come back to me, before I finalize the patch. |

Here is the video of my latest touch up to Super Mario Bros.
Players Switch Off After Flagpole Is Passed https://youtu.be/wegcV6EvZx0 @Stufid. I lost a lot of material from my old PC back in 2009, the thought has crossed my mind returning to this, but in a different form. The other issue is I know work 50+ hours a week, been doing so for a year now, so my time is even more severely limited. I do apologize to yourself and others who have been so passionate over MMU2. If I ever get another opportunity to work on it, believe me everyone here will know. |

I'm still waiting on another test result from my debug. Once I get the information I need on the debug hardware, I'll release the patch, it's out of my hands, all is up to my friend who tests my work on authentic hardware. |

Does nestopia recreate this at the same time all the time, or is hit or miss? Do you get the same result on other emulators?

If you are going to play my mmc5 games on the wii, wiiu, xbox, xbox360, ps3, then you need to use Nestopia builds, whether the stand alone ones, or the core version for RetroArch. Fceux doesn't play the mmc5 games that well.
I think I've ironed out the cpu jam. New build has been released just now, check main page. |

Use RetroArch, and use the Nestopia core for nes games.
Mario 3 is playable, I just don't like the scanline fluctuating during every dpcm sample that is played. It deals with the irq tearing. (watch the boss select screen of mega man 3 for example of tearing) The adjustment of the tearing produces 2 different results. My current ips, the irq is perfect on emulators, but not an actual mmc5 cart. Nothing I can do until I hear back from my friend. |
