Must because there's more than 2 active enemies. If you woke em all up, I cam only imagine how slow the rom gets. I'll take care of that.

also I believe to have found the culprit in the heart piece glitch. I just need to test this with my non treasure chest pieces. But I believe to have nailed that down.

I'm working on the lantern issue tonight.

So is it only one armos awake that jams, or is it when multiple are awake when you touch that specific armos?

Been playing through this and i am truly impressed with all your hard work, great job!

i found a bug. using FCEUX 2.2.2 btw

If you bounce off a wall into a bottomless pit with the pegasus boots it seems to lock the game.

thanks for making this!

great find, and I just fixed it! :-)

thanks for playing!

I just got the second piece of the Tri-Force. I think I need the gloves for the next one, going to look for them - hope I didn't miss them earlier.

if you beat Level's 1-2, and you don't have Titan's Mitt yet, then yup, you missed it. Gonna have to go back to which one of those Level's you think it might be in.

EDIT: I just found a treasure chest with a heart piece that I had already gotten in this save file, but the chest was closed, and when I got the piece again, it didn't register. I also noticed a few chests that were closed after I beat the game that I had gotten before, including the chest with the Red Lantern. These chests only seem to be in the light world. Also, the entrance to the light world skull dungeon is open in my game clear file.

Tomorrow is my day off, so i'll text v1.5 and see what happens. The only thing that I have resetting itself when you defeat Final Ganon, is Final Ganon & Zelda's room, so you can beat the game over and over again.

Every issue reported today has been fixed. So I'm now at v1.5, but from what LeviathanMist just wrote tonight, im not going to release it...

I appreciate you taking the time to suggest all of that, but I just don't have the extra prg-rom to pull all of that off. plus when I wrote the asm for everything, I had a plan for everything, and if I keep going back and altering stuff, things will end up breaking, and I pretty much have to re-write things that I did years ago. I apologize for the lack of attention the shops had during the course of this project. But this is as good as its going to get. But I do thank you for taking the time to write all your thoughts down.

Heh, sneaky move! But you will trap yourself big time. Thats a good trick, you ARE able to step into the dark world from the light world, but you need to force links y tile id he is standing on in $49E, so he can walk through shit.

I'll fix this.

I died a couple of times at the castle and decided to reset instead of saving so that I wouldn't loose the potion.
When I started again the map was still as it should be, but the potion and Pegasus Boots are gone.

I've explained in the beginning of this thread. If you choose to reset before saving your file, you will get undesired sram results. Theres no way to fix this. This rom uses complex sram swapping due to the size of the light/dark worlds, and I have to do lots of swapping of the 80 byte table form ram/sram, sram/ram, etc. If you don't save when you have uncovered something, it will definitely be gone. I know this is unpopular and a pain in the ass, but this was the only way I can do what I'm doing within the rom.

I haven't experienced any with my playthrough from versions ago. Idk what else to do if they are present. I don't have time to do a personal playthrough with no crash's glitches happening. Idk, I'm getting pretty burnt out with the SRAM, I'm working right now, idk when I can check to make absolute certain that the SRAM is fine.

I'll look into it.

edit

Found the issue. When saving & quitting, I back up my upper/lower world id in preparation for restarting the lower light/dark world.

The special forced save and quit after defeating ganon lacks that routine, and I watched a specific portion of the SRAM change when it shouldn't have. So now that is all set. There are no more resetting treasures or other things.

No that will still happen. You cannot reset before saving. If you want to quit, you must save via death or two player up*A in inventory.

The game has a hidden save feature within the inventory menu. This has always been the case for The Legend of Zelda.

So when you are in the inventory menu, use player two's controls, press up and A together. Then use player one controls to save your progress. :-)

This is pretty good hack; however I noticed some minor errors while running in PAL mode.

On the save screen you can see some tiles at the top. This was unnoticed as as NTSC screens cut this out.

Same thing here, you just need to shift the camera down by one pixel.

Despite these nitpicks, this is still a good hack. I'm impressed.

The title screen one cant be fixed. That's just how PAL is. You can also clearly view this within Nintendulator, as it displays all of the vertical tiles in the $2000ppu range and the $23A0ppu range.

However, I did fix the Save & Continue ppu garbage up top.

Thanks for playing! :-D

I just stated playing this game....awesome hack....any chance of adding a way to steal from the shops like in Links Awakening...and when you get caught you get zapped

I've honestly never played through LA, I just used it's gfx and world as a template for my hack, cause im no good at designing an entire world. But thank you for playing! :-D

Posted by Vanya
That is a really good thing to know.

One question, though. Is my bomb counter supposed to not be working?

D'oh... This was done by poor bankswapping for the Key counter. I'm trying to stay away from using the HW bank to perform my swaps, cause the additional asm I'm adding is carving within the DPCM sfx... But, the bombs are now registering.

ALSO, there was an sram issue after you defeat Final Ganon. It is now fixed.

AND, I've also created a new function.

Hey thanks! I'm expecting very few bugs in this release.

Also, thanks for making a .nsf file of the music!

I noticed on the first post of this thread, that the Pendant of Quake isn't listed.

I'm pretty much done with this, as long as there are no more crashes/freezes. I'll double check the front page, maybe the link is broken or something.

And you are welcome on the .nsf. :-)
