I'm extremely interested in which levels you will be considering for this project. I'm also very thankful that you decided to use my hack as 1 of the 4 to be used. To this day, I still can't believe the replay value this hack has! I can't wait to get Ultra 2 finished.

Yes, Kuja Killer made it possible for the Charge Meter to work, and allow photos for weapons, as you see in the video. |

Rockman = Thank you very much for your kind comments! This hack still has a long way to go. I have 7 different robot masters from different MM games. I'm currently working on the 8th one now. All their ASM's have not been severly altered, I'm waiting till much later for that. Kuja Killer has taught me alot about ASM, and I've learned alot from him, so I'm very confident that I'll be able to bring some very exciting things never seen in a MM game! I currently have 1 such thing, that will blow everyone away! Mark my words!

Quick update, I now have all 8 robot masters decided on. Mugshots are completely designed. I'm saving the AI asm for later on, as I'm still working on their actual gfx placements. |

Thanks! I had this wild idea of Elecman calling the electricity from the celing, getting electicuted, then shooting the electricity! Down the road I may update the gfx for it, and make it look more realistic. What I have there is just a temp idea. But you get the jist of it Thank you Kuja for the white flash effect. |

Posted by Rockman It's coming along pretty well. I've been doing some weapon asm tinkering, and got some pretty good results with a few weapons. I've also begun working with the sound engine. I'm having alot of fun with the sound engine! So much easier to work with than MM2's And congrats on inserting a custom sprite! Keep up the great work. Code/Data Logger is the #1 best way to do this work. I used it for Megaman Ultra, *MM2* And I'm currently using it with Megaman Ultra 2 *MM4*
Also, this is about the MM2 sound engine, but MM1 & 2 share the same engine, so these notes will apply to your rom. This was taken from a japanesse website, and translated, I'm sure you can make sense of it. $00 XX: Speed (the extent whose XX is large it becomes slow) $02 XX: Timbre change (inserting $00, $40, $80, C0 in XX, please try) $03 XX: Way volume change (only $FF you do not insert in the non darkness, note) $04 YY XX XX: The address which is shown with XX XX (the $28000 is not forgotten) to jump, the YY time it does that, (in case of 00 it is unlimited) $05 XX: It rises 1 sound each height of the key (concerning 1) the $06: Length of diacritic of one rear is designated as 1.5 times. $07 XX XX: But attenuation... because address it is not chased, don't you think? it is good and the わ can (someone to be possible) as for other things with 1byte Y length of diacritic (60 2 times that 40) plus does XX in the key which with XX is decided with height $05 XX of sound presently while collecting is (the ぉ ぃ diacritic data (rectangular group and triangular group) Y0 (40,60,80, A0, C0, E0) + XX (00 - 1F) concerning diacritic one. XX in case of the $00 it becomes the 休 sign. When we assume that $4F is 16 diacritical markses of ド, the $50 becomes 16 diacritical markses of the ド #, 6F becomes 8 diacritical markses of ド. Yes the whole concept of the "Ultra" series, is to sort of fill in the gap between the Classic & X series. Keigi Inafune has said that he has no intention of doing that. So back in 2005 when I started, I was trying to think of something new to bring to the hacking community, that's when the idea of Ultra came into play.
The title "The Rise of X" has been the main title for almost 2 years. I just decided to keep it to myself until I could do things on my own asm wise. I honestly wish this was done now so everyone could see what's in store. I feel that I have a concrete storyline, and a good mix of dialog. I feel the story that I came up with, is something that capcom would've written. Posted by Ailure Thank You for your comment on the music! That was a bitch to code in by hand. I had to use a program called G-NSF, the program enables you to shut off any sound channel you want, and even slow down the tempo. I originaly tried ripping it out of SMB2, but nintendo uses some fancy math asm, where all the notes are even numbers, and when I tried inserting them into my hack, it was all wrong. So I had to listen to every single note, for all 3 channels "the noise channel I just wrote a simple drum beat that goes along to the tune" It took me 2 days to get this complete, and I love it so much, it sounds awesome! And thank you for the comment on the effort. I feel that I'm at the point in rom hacking where I have the capability of making a near perfect rendition of any level from an nes game. The POW block will work as it does in SMB2, I just havent gotten around to it. This hack I'm trying to make as professional as possible in every aspect you can think of. Posted by Insectduel Yeah this game is originaly MM4, but it's severly altered, so it looks like a brand new MM game, where Matrixz's hack is a legit hack of MM4. Mine has completely different enemies/bosses, where his hack will stay true to the original enemies/bosses. My hack needs to be so different due to the storyline I'll be adding, and all the different level ideas, and boss ideas. This is just 1 of many things that is making this hack take forever to finish. And the weapon shots you hear are all from MM5. I personaly coded in each sfx for each version of the buster system. EDIT - Oh I'm sorry, the weapon menu sfx, yes those were taken from MM6. Those were inserted for me by Kuja Killer, at the time I had no idea on how to do stuff like that. And after he did that for me, and showed me how, I've been able to accomplish doing sfx things for anything in my hack since then. Posted by Googie That MM GB title is the only one I've never played.
