The only problem I've seen with Xkeeper being an admin is that he's not the only admin on the board.
Seriously, you can't run a board the way he did with other admins just as powerful, who also have conflicting views and opinions to your own. It's bound to cause conflicts such as these, and will continue to happen unless Xkeeper's staff team follows the same train of thought as himself. IMO, there should have only been two admins - Acmlm and Xkeeper. That's how it was when the board started, and that's when things were the best. blackhole and his "crew" obviously have different views for the board, and so far they seem to be contrary to what this place needs. Xkeeper provided what this board needed, because he had the balls to knock it into shape, rather than going "well, I don't know..." It's about being assertive. I don't see that so far out of the new admins. ____________________

Wait, what? Are you retarded? Are you trying to say the whole reason this happened is because he's been trolling? Because, unless you don't get it, he's been trolling because nobody is doing anything about it. He's proving a point that, quite frankly, needs to be addressed, and Xkeeper was the one who did that addressing before he was ripped out of power. Believe it or not, Xkeeper was one of the sole things keeping this place stable. Yeah, he's not perfect, and he can have his odd moments (I'M LEAVING okay not maybe lol), but for the most part, he was firm, and he was consistent, and didn't let trolls and idiots take reign over this forum like they have for as long as he's been out of power so far. It's disgusting to look at, and people who generally come to the board for ROM hacking (such as myself), find it a major interference in terms of how we're able to enjoy the board. When I decide to click on the general chat forum for some... general chat, that's what I expect, not a bunch of trolls and idiots running around like they own the place. Sooner or later, you're going to realize just how much Xkeeper did for this place. Whoever knocked him out of power had no right - the "server admin" excuse doesn't work; if you don't like how he runs the board on your server, you kick him off, not take it over. I mean, what the fuck is that? Anyway, yeah. ____________________

Just because he got forced out of power, doesn't mean he doesn't care about this board. I mean, it's obvious that he DOES - he's been here for years, and he was a dedicated admin to the place as long as he's been in power. If you were part of a community for so long, then saw someone fucking it up quickly after forcing you out of your admin seat, what would you think? As he said, the only reason he left on his own is because he knew he would be overthrown. Despite that, he was forced out anyway, hence why the bomb went off. It's just an extreme lack of respect and tons of arrogance that goes a long way - and the wrong people have the power to get their way, not even really thinking about the benefit of the community as a whole. It's clear a lot of people would prefer Xkeeper back in power, but anyone who has the ability to do so is either gone, or violently opposed to it. It's pretty bad. ____________________

It makes you think though, doesn't it? That he had irrefutable proof that Xkeeper was, indeed the culprit, that he had chatlogs, and that it was him without a shadow of a doubt... and yet one look into the server logs proves that it wasn't. Isn't that pretty awesome, you guys?
Blackhole didn't show any logs because there were none. He's full of shit, and he's obviously going to great lengths to get rid of Xkeeper. Not only are there mediocre admins running about, but there's also shady ones too. Is that really what you want to deal with on a daily basis? ____________________

The core of the conflict seems to center around how Xkeeper was overthrown, while nobody else on the boards other than those who openly agreed with his demotion really knows WHY he was demoted, because, in their eyes, he was an excellent admin and an important part of keeping the board in shape.
What I think we first need to know is real, justified reasons as to why "blackhole and co" decided that Xkeeper was detrimental to the board to the point that he had to be demoted, and why it's so important for him to stay that way. Things like "I own the server, I can do what I want" are quite childish, and the adminstrators of the board itself should primarily have the say in matters such as these. Personally, if I disagreed with how Xkeeper was treating the board on my server, I'd simply ask him to leave - it wouldn't be my right to decide the board was my own, and to claim it as such. It isn't my board. Once we hear this, I'm quite sure we can work out the kinks in said reasons and come to some sort of compromise - perhaps even move to a new server, if need be. ____________________

I think that if Acmlm wants to kill HIS own message board, then he is fully within his rights to do so, and there's absolutely no reason why his wishes should not be honored.
Does the community of Acmlm's Board have to die? Absolutely not. But Acmlm's Board does. Justus, ||board, whichever you choose, all have the same exact people who have once been united under the name of Acmlm's Board for years and years. Nobody expects you all to get along, but your community will never die. Just this board. And, especially if Acmlm, of all people, thinks it should die, then it should die. blackhole should start his own board based on his ideals and his staff members, and the community that was once built up at this address is very capable of staying here. Sure, it won't be known as Acmlm's Board -- it won't be -- but the same people will be here. And that's what "community" is about - it's not the board, it's the people. Get together at another board and you may as well have just what you had before. The death of this board will not mean the death of this community. Believe that. ____________________

I'm betting the level tiles use Nemesis compression, and the 128x128 mappings use Kosinski compression. You can find decompressors for these formats at http://info.sonicretro.org/Program_Files and downloading "The Sega Data Compressor" (TSDC). ____________________
