Still, palette sucks and why did you include the YI Bouncing Arrow GFX? Are you gonna do the same thing with the other YI tilesets? Don't rip the YI Stone FG tileset. I did that.

EDIT: In the 3rd screenshot, there's a tile missing at that dirt, if that's dirt, of course.

Reini, I don't think telling him that his work 'sucks' or getting angry at him because he also used te bouncing ball tile/sprite is really nessesary. Also, he's free to rip any FG he wants, you can't tell him to not rip any GFX set just because *you* already ripped it. Please be more considerate in future.

Hey, I was only talking about the palette. The tileset is excellent.

I have an idea for a new sprite. Actually it's an old sprite, but with dynamic GFX. The chain chomp from YI, that tries to bite Mario and it also looks at the player, biting.

In the dynamic4 archiva, you will find
yi_pswitch.cfg
yi_pswitch.asm
yipswitch.bin

Both 3 should be in the same location.

I started this a few weeks ago. I finished (most of) reprogramming parts of the ROM and I'm trying to piece together the editor end of it. It's horrifically trashy but I do have a working track viewer for now.

OK; I'll make sure to base future edits on a pristine ROM rather than edited versions.

I like your course! White Land is pretty good about keeping the barriers in the same places relative to the panel borders, so it's easy to edit the course without having to make new rows.

Stuff I learned from that White Land patch: you can break the plane of the finish line in the air (I put a jump just before it) and it'll still count. Your car will flash in mid-air just like it would on the ground. In one of the GBA versions, you couldn't always fly over the finish line and it would make you redo the lap if you flew too high.

That course on the patch keeps the original path, so you can have GP races on it and the computer cars will drive normally. I haven't seen any problems arising from the excessive jump ramps, either; the computer cars will jump as normal and keep driving.

Also, how about showing the horizon graphics (city, mountains, storms, etc.) in another floating window? Then when we edit the palette, we'll be able to preview it.
