 Ok, I guess it's time we migrated over to this board as well.
This is the third time this thread has started, and it keeps people updated on the work-in-progress translation of the original Japanese version of Animal Crossing, "Doubutsu no Mori" ("Animal Forest" in English). Some basic rules: No sexual innuendos, cussing, flaming nor conversation not related to this project and the translation. Everyone is welcome to download the IPS patches periodically updated, but no ROMs of the actual game are posted here. Following the rules of the board, don't ask where one can get the ROM, nor for someone to PM where one can get the ROM, nor anything related to how to acquire the ROM. It's a legal thing. Anyway, all of that having been said, here is a link to the always current IPS. This link is updated each time the patch is updated, so it's the only link needed. This patch is about to be updated. Some of the things that have been translated this time around are: More Nook text An all-new title screen! At least some of the Police Station text Approximately half of the welcome/loading text A few items and some other tidbits Currently, there are three other people helping with this translation: Zoinkity, Aurakitsune and ksonic. Without these three, this translation would go alot slower and probably wouldn't be nearly as pretty. PM me if you want to help with this project and feel free to leave your comments! |

Yeah, I guess you can have it. I didn't know the contest had even started. Was an e-mail sent out? I'm sure you would have beat me anyway, Tanks. 
I'm better at hacking than playing. And I'm not too great at that. |

"Animal Crossing Zero" - I like that.
Hey, everybody! We finally have another update! What's been modded: The title screen in its (hopefully) final state, several graphic changes that I thought I included in past updates, but didn't, some more Nook employment, a bit of the Police station, some character names and about half of the opening text (when you're loading the game). There might be some more in this update, but I don't remember anything else. :-| It's nice that this game is actually starting to feel English-ish. Anyway, have fun with it! -=- Lysol |
