I've been working on a personal hack for Mario RPG that replaces Mario, and over the past few days I cannot for the life of me to get the molds to align properly.

I exported Mario's molds so I can replace him with my own character, but when I export the molds, half of them are exported as 32x32 images and the other half are 256x256 images (which I assume are tilesets).

I saved over each mold with my own character, but importing it has the character misaligned in game and breaks the sprites of the latter half of molds.

I'm at my wit's end and I have not seen someone else discussing this problem, so I signed up here just so I can ask this question and hopefully get someone to help me with this (Preferably over a Twitter DM if anyone has that).

Is there a guide around to sprite replacement, in particular replacing a group of molds?

Every time I replace Mario's UPLeft mold, it screws up the other group of molds that are available, and I have no idea how to go about fixing that.

I searched pretty far and wide for answers to no avail, if anyone can point me to a guide that'd be nice!
