Excuse me

Firefox has 45% usage, IE 30%, and Chrome 17%

Other browsers are by comparison unpopular

stark you need to go clothes shopping sometime--y'know at a real clothier? maybe find a good hairdresser while you're at it? i don't know if you're waiting until after the procedure is finished, but in the meantime theres a pretty wide range of unisex clothing that is pretty fashionable these days if you're into that.

there are one or two places in seattle that are pretty awesome

Reversed Ze, did you just insult my clothes? I don't know how to feel about that.

Could you pull off something like

I think this would be a good point to change the topic before the risk rises.

Eighties music. Any favorites?

I don't think I really listened to much of it, it was before my time, and my parents had more classical/foreign tastes. I think the earliest band I can think of that I liked was the Smashing Pumpkins (which I guess was in fact founded in the 80s!).

I sound like a generic white kid, as such, I likely won't record anything.

Define 'generic'. We're all different from eachother, and therefore I consider that defining whatever 'generic'/'standard' person model is kinda bullshit.

On topic. I sound like low-pitched crap You wouldn't want to hear what I actually sound like. Not to mention, maybe I'm good acceptable at writing English, but I speak it terribly, and would have a huge French accent.

And, oh, I just remembered, that microphone of mine doesn't work for some reason
I have an old laptop with a builtin microphone, tho.

I think he means generic [American] white kid, and since I've heard him on ventrillo, I concur.

Ah, I do and I don't. I do in that I was taught how at one time and I'm sure I could if I had to. I don't in that I haven't for a while and I don't have a license for it.

You have a motorcycle?

My point still stands; even in America everyone is different from eachother, so even there there's no 'generic' type of person.

But whatever, okay.

It's sort of like how you, neek, treeki et al all sound the same to me.

I'd take 4chan over sites like Gaia any day... it is precisely GIFT that acts as a kind of immune system disposing of the worst excesses of internet treehouse lameness that would otherwise undoubtedly ensue in a site of that kind of reputation.

That being said, it's not likely that 4chan would be the first or even among the first to go; if the US wanted to dispose of a domestic website operator, they would have easier means of achieving that. This is much more obviously aimed at sites that reside in other or even multiple jurisdictions (TPB, Wikileaks, ...) and therefore are a thorn in the side of US authorities without being within their direct reach.

In the worst case scenario wouldn't people just revert to doublespeak to evade explicit violations like in 1984?

I still find it hard to be outraged over this. Ever see a toddler with their ears pierced? They have just as much say in the decision as the turtle did here. And that's an issue involving human beings. The only difference is on a little girl, it's just too adorable for people to really analyze what it is: body modification performed on an (undoubtedly) unwilling patient.
With a turtle, people pay attention and become outraged, because it's something they haven't seen before.

i didn't know you were such a huge wuss

body piercings aren't really worse than vaccinations except the former is usually quite voluntary

even a little girl can assert her agency better than a tortoise

how is a tortoise to dissent against stuff like this

e: in other words, even the tortoise wants to be the little girl
