At college, I occasionally see people who I think look like certain users here.

I think I have Majora's Mask syndrome. Basically, I've seen a lot of 'random people' who are anonymous, and I keep thinking I'm seeing certain looks over and over. Like, a completely different person, but he looks REALLY familiar, like one of the anonymous people I know at school. So basically, I think the character models for some the anonymous people I see are being recycled. And some of them are being recycled from people I actually know, or otherwise are non-anonymous, like you guys.

Stack overflow. Program must be terminated.
So it's not just me then? I've never been able to explain it very well, but you hit the nail on the head, perfect analogy too Er, that is to say, I experience that too

I think we all get that. At least I know I do. There are certain "categories" people fall into. It's weird really, but definitely there.

The above posts explain the reason that science/engineering majors need to take psychology.
That people can't explain phenomena and instead use analogs and other such indirect wording seems a bit absurd, and I always feel as though people do it just to annoy me, e.g. using "rate of change in population over time" instead of "population growth/decay." Mind you, it's usually English stuffs.
The word in this case, that I believe that is fitting, would be "archetype." I would doubt the occurrence of a SamuraiX archetype though. I'm insane unique.

415. People who don't realize that "you" has a y and an o in it.

418. People who don't understand that 99% of all sentences shouldn't have "like" in them.

Life is different after high school. Instead of looking forward to another state-required year of acedemic torture, you actually have to make decisions about what you'll spend your time doing. The world doesn't quite look the same post-secondary.

I'm going to have to disagree. It's going to suck just as much as high school, I bet.

Just wondering, it's usually called tertiary, isn't it?
Though I do think that there are a lot of decisions right now in high school, college can be limited if you don't go somewhere with a broad course selection. Since after this semester, I'll have exhausted all of the economics courses at my community college(Economics: Micro and Macro).

Yeah, expect me to be grumpy/angry for a while until I get my happy happy allergy medicines.

I'm not grumpy/angry though I don't have a remedy to my allergenic calamity.

And Xkeeper's post reminds me of when I spilled a whole glass of juice into a keyboard once.

What sort of juice was it?

I'm really squeamish of the idea of anything directly touching my eyeballs. I'm fine with glasses, and I don't play sports or anything that might require contacts.

Your eyelids touch your eyeballs all the time.

So people with good grades are exempt from the rules that people with lesser grades must adhere to? Brilliant.

"I'm passing all my classes, maybe you should worry about the people who're failing classes even though they're here every day."

Yeah, I know! Teachers grade attenance in itself too heavily. If you miss a lot of class, you're more likely to get a lower grade anyway because of missed material. I especially hate when there's an absolute "line" as in "4 or more absences is an F."

Well, if one knows the material so well, then they shouldn't be taking the class anyways. There are plenty of placement tests to remedy that. Being in class is often one of the more important things, especially in courses such as language, where a lot of material can only be done in class.
