Wow this looks damn good. The only thing I can say is maybe you should get a new mario sprite to suit his surroundings? If not it still looks fantastic, but there is no reason not to streach that extra... 30ft? I dunno. Nice.

Already working on a new Mario sprite.

Yo.

I played your demo.

It's pretty nice, I like the graphics and most of the levels.

The starting level is pretty cool, but I think you messed up the buttons. As far as I remember you use Y to run, not X, but I haven't played it with a real controller for a long time so maybe I'm wrong. Also if you want it to be a comprehensive tutorial you should include vines and ladders. Actually I'd prefer the parts where you have to jump between vines/ladders hanging from a ceiling be taken out, because they're awkward and unfun.

If the text was a bit thicker and less italic I might have actually read some of the message boxes.

On the 4th floor of the tower, you start below the screen, so you would die automatically, except that you also accidentally made it a water level so you can swim through. Bizarre and crappy.

In a few places you put a note block adjacent to a wall. That's bad because the player can kill themselves by getting stuck in the wall.

I was sad that I couldn't take my Yoshi with me for the flight level but that's okay, I guess.

When you go to enter Sapphire Village you die. Oops, can't talk about anything after that.

I was ticked that I couldn't use the switch palaces, especially at that bit with the flying hammer brother and the green outlines.

There seems to be a lack of powerups. Plenty of levels have none at all, which is fine when you're blazing through with firepower but crappy when you saved and came back to find that you have to be small for a few levels in a row. (Unless you go back to Silver Skies and keep getting that powerup on top of the house at the beginning.)

The platinum fortress appears to require you to spin jump on Thwimps, which isn't actually safe. If they're on the way up they'll still cause damage.

That's not to say that it's not good, because it is, I just found a bunch of things to say about it.

I had trouble with the introductory level, having never played on an actual snes before.

I couldn't get the green switch palace to activate the green switch blocks, so I temporarily removed them all.

The lack of powerups is being worked on.

In platinum fortress, you could spin jump the thwimps, spin jump of the fry bones and on to a twimp, or jump off of a bullet bill. I'm sorry, I think I may have made some puzzles a little to difficult.

On both sapphire flight and sapphire village, each one are impossible for yoshi. I'll make the next world (mt. crystal) more Yoshi-friendly.

I guess I should have tested the patch all the way through.

A release, eh? Your work has been a constant inspiration towards my own. I can't wait!

Hey, thanks!

I've realized the problem. I couldn't find the original game I started hacking, so I created the patch from a different one that I later realized didn't open in Lunar Magic by itself. It's not important right now because there were only two unimpressive levels after the village. I assure everyone, it will be fixed for the final release.

And yes, I used the custom Slow movement up block for gravity.

Has anyone else went? I just got back from Minneapolis, and it was amazing.
We got to see some awesome bands.

Ah, well.

I liked warped just fine. My only suggestion was that it needed more ska.

Weird to think I was in Minneapolis just three days before that bridge collapsed.

Simpsons movie was win. It was about twenty years in the making, and now it's here.

I've been a little out of it lately, but this made me laugh. Seriously.

I second the 'repeating lines' thing. Or, when the entire theater recited "Spider Pig" as it was happening. That was a definite fail.

I have a small request. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard to accomplish. Does anyone know how to enable the cape spin regardless of Mario's current state?

Song: On & On & On
Artist: Streetlight Manifesto
Album: I don't know.

Streetlight Manifesto is a great ska band. I find that this song in particular is very catchy and very fast. Not to mention, it goes into a little "Canon" thing in the middle.

Song: When the Levee Breaks
Artist: Led Zeppelin
Album: Early Days

Zeppelin is always a classic. I like this song because it's so bluesy and whatnot. Zeppelin's music isn't confided to just rock. They've got so many different sounds, it's really quite incredible.

If this already exsists let me know asap

Could I have a Blue Pow switch that can be placed anywhere without changing to a sliver Pow.

I know there are other blocks/sprites in SMW/LM which change depending on its position.

The other ones I want are:
Block containing an extra life
Block containing a vine

Also, is there a note block that exists where a mushroom/flower or leaf is created when hit?

Many thanks...

Blocktool has a block that contains a vine. Super Mario world also already has a jumping block that spawns a powerup when hit.

Eek. That's violent. Your FG needs more shading, and your BG's blue color should either be darker, or contain more detail.

I've come to realize that I have a very sickly sense of humor. That's why I've decided to start a web comic. It's basically just Cyanide and Happiness, but that's fine I guess. Right now, they're going to be hosted on my Photo Bucket page, but if anyone has a better method, don't be afraid to tell me. Also, if anyone wants to join me, just ask. Anyways, here are the first two.

lol@Guitar hero.

I never really wanted to play it. It seems fail when you actually know how to play the guitar. However, the new game coming out called Rock Band looks amazing. I might be looking into that.
