Mari42: This really looks like a good hack with a lot of improvements, You can also add MMC5 to your hack and have more sprite graphics if you wanted to.

I would love an ASM6-compatible assembler with these additions:
IPS and BPS patch generation support, as well as direct ASM patches NES 2.0 support Support for 65816 (SNES, Apple 2 GS), 65c02 (Apple 2 Plus) and Hu6280 (PCE/TG16) Header directives Unofficial opcodes for 6502 mode Table File support with 8-bit (byte) or 16-bit(word-sized, or 2 byte) character support Palette Directives (depends on CPU mode) And so on. How about:
-replacing all grey sprites with a green palette (i.e. snifits, birdos, ect.) -set 1-ups to use normal mushroom graphics along with a green palette -make wart's death palette (grey) into a palette switch hack, (frees palette space, goes from green to grey using ASM to put a new palette into PPU 3F1x) These are possible, because I've done those before. ____________________ Mah boi, romhacking is what all true warriors strive for! Well... For the sake of me and this board... It's not a lot too late to re-introduce myself, Since I been a member here for a few to several years.
Since then, I've also done a bit of a small contributon to SMW Central as well. (see my blocks, patches, and even a couple other doodads over there).
