Awesome! I'm guessing this is the final build? The palettes are easy to figure out, it's the title screen data I have a hard time figuring out. It's looks compressed but I'm not sure, thanks for making the editor smkdan! <3

Well, I'm not interested in the SNES version, thats why I started this project.


You'll have to save state before the Affection game, in the debugger (I'm assuming you're using VBA or that other emulator?) Set breakpoints where that event goes and take it from there, I looked around for you if there's any notes but no dice. Good luck with your project though...

Nice find Googie, I wish the author would have used ASM to make the broom item stay with you. I'm keeping this ROM incase it becomes lost like a few other hacks out there.

I downloaded the editor from this site. And when I click the ROM in the editor, everything crashes. Is there any way to make this editor work in Windows XP?

I hear you man, only thing is it must be a pain in the ass to find the data to skip the intro in the beginning after DW says his speech, and the data so not to see the ending, it could be like the game would reset itself after the speech at the end.

And to make Mega Man look good in the game, not like that fugly Rockman 5 hack of Darkwing Duck. Just thinking about this make my hed hurt lol! ^^'

If it was me, I'd start with the NES, there are so many classics that are screaming for editors. Please consider some of these editors, the DOS ones would be really good to see in Windows, etc.

Dahrkdaiz, will this editor be able to help you edit the intro screen to disable the sprites from moving & having the curtain fall after Peach's message at the end of the game? If I make like a 3 world hack, I'd hate for the credit to roll showing all 8 worlds.

Other than that, I love your progress, I can't wait for it to be finished...

I have a hard time editing the airship levels, I'm pretty confident that with your editor, if I want to go down a pipe, a Koopa Kid will be there at whatever level I set the pointer to.

My boyfriend is drooling over this editor, he's a SMB3 fiend lol! ^_~

Heres all the info you need to put the metal blade from megaman 2 back into megaman 3

I use Hexposure for this

offset address 3d2eb change value to 0f

(that will allow you to fire in all directions even down)

offset adress 3d357 change value to 03

(this will allow you to fire 3 blades)

offset 3d2fc change value to 99

(blade range increases dramaticly and does not return)

then i use tile layer pro for this

locate the shadow blade and metal blade graphics

take the metal blade graphics and insert them to where the shadow blade is
it has to be specific or it wont look right it should look like this /# /+

note this will not work on rockman 3 only the us version

enjoy giving doc robot metal man a taste of his own medicine


I don't know why this tbolt76 didn't make an IPS patch for this, can someone please make an IPS patch for this? There's no screensshots, you tube video for this to see what it looks like in action.
