I find it hilarious that I'm considered conservative by this test's standards. |

I'm not that big a fan of Japanese animation as a vastly legitimate source of film. Most anime scores somewhere inbetween Ed Woods and Michael Bay in terms of how much it makes me want to kill myself. But I'm not going to lie one moment. Grave of the Fireflies is a Japanese response to the ideas put forward in the novel Slaughterhouse V. There is no way around that. It is distinctly painful and shows the definitive cultural differences between Anglo-American idealization and realization of the pain of a conflict and the Japanese views. A very important film.
I can't lie about one thing though. Anything that Wes Andersen has touched is probably going to be something akin to complete brilliance. Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic and all those. I adore those movies. Of course, he isn't without those that easily match and surpass him in similar styles. Take for instance the movie "The Squid and The Whale". Fucking brilliant. A standard drama with extremely deep undertones of dark comedy. Ikiru by Akira Kurosawa is probably one of those ultimate movies. It is deeply touching. What is more important is that it is basically a textbook example of what a movie should be. I mean, the average audience going slack jawed idiot isn't going to get it, but that is why shitty humans like Michael Bay and Spielberg are allowed to make movies. |

So, has anyone tried to find some Vysotsky or Okudzhava? They're horrorshow!
Also on my list of all time favourite albums is "Thunder Lightning Strike" by The Go! Team. |

House is pretty fun, a lot of Masters of Horror stuff is hilarious.
I really enjoy most old Ed Woods and some of the other 50s/60s drive-in retro horror. Always grand. Of course, the crown goes to Troma. Anything they touch is gold. |

Posted by Sgraff87 1. This is the sort of thinking that totally ruins the idea of more artistic and niche-based games. 2. Congratulations. You have won the Nobel prize in Video Game Fanboy Ideas Lacking Merit and Originality |

So, anyways. I have a USB 2.0 250 gigabyte external harddrive. Last night it stopped working. I mean the drive is obviously still whizzin' and whirrin' and drivin' away, but it won't be read by my computer. I don't have access to another computer with USB in my house. Any ideas? |

Besides, Sony is embroiled in scandals, the "mainstream" (tf?) has been pretty knowledgeable about internal business fuckeruppery at Sony for a while. |

This thread is full of loss and ignorance.
4. In English speaking countries, the ONLY permissible characters in a first name shall be A through Z. No hyphens, diacritics, numbers, punctuation, and for gosh sakes NO DAMN APOSTROPHES. Examples: Anne-Marie, Zoƫ, GaShaJay'Nee'Shi'Ka Stupid suggestion. 6. Children should NOT be named after automobiles. Examples: Mercedes, Lexus, Hummer, Oldsmobile Agreed, Mercedes is a human name though. 14. Do NOT give your child a ghetto name, especially if you are Black. Naming your daughter something like Katherine or Claire won't make your kid magically turn White, so you can stop with the damn La'Keysha and Jhawntaivious already. (I don't want to be racist, but this pisses me off) Too bad, that is racist. I guess Muslims shouldn't name their kids Mummhad and I can't name my children Boris, Vladimir, Miroslav, or Svetlana. Blackhole: The USA and every other modern western nation's cultures are (1) having Greek culture as an ancestor Questionable at best. edit:: and you can always change your name if your parents are stupid. I don't like my name. I'm currently in the process of having it re-Slavified. I hate having an Anglo-western name. |
